Excellent TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im a TV guy and know what a good TV is. Great picture, good sound. Very slight motion blur, but you wont find much better on just a 32" size. Using it as a monitor, be sure to set it to Game mode for no input lag. 1080p is the way to go regardless of viewer distance, especially for monitor. calling back to get the price match difference now that its on sale ;)

Not a very smart "Smart-TV"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this TV for a few months now, and it has changed our TV viewing habits... we watch much less now (which maybe a positive effect?). Samsung's "Smart" Hub UI is extremely un-intuitive and slow. Even Roku is slow, but the Samsung SmartHub really takes the cake. It takes a full minute before you can even launch Netflix, Youtube or Hulu... try to launch Netflix before that, and you are greeted with a silly "SmartHub is not ready" kind of message. Once you manage to launch it, both Netflix and Hulu "apps" have their share of issues. The Hulu app crashes everytime a certain commercial is played, and the Netflix app decides to log you out every once in a while. "Smart" features aside, I found the sound quality to be exceptionally poor as well. At low volumes, you can hardly hear the dialog, while at higher ones, your ears start ringing. Overall, a 2 star rating, at the most.

Worth the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is a little bit more spendy compared to other 32" TVs, but it's worth it. I prefer to buy things once rather than wish I had gotten something better. The picture and sound quality are great. The screen size is perfect for a bedroom or smaller area. There are plenty of HDMI ports to connect devices. The only flaw is the remote can be a bit laggy, but it's not enough of an issue to make me want a different TV.

Not as good as my old TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 32” Samsung 1080p Smart TV is good but, when compared to all of my previous TV’s, it’s the worst one I’ve ever owned. I bought this particular model because Consumer Reports rated it the best 32” they tested. Well if this is the best, then it’s a sad testament to our electronics industry. My last TV was a 2009 32” Sony Bravia 1080p. Here’s how my old and new TV’s compare: -Old TV looked and sounded perfect right out of the box. I never needed to make any adjustments and I never had any complaints. I can say the same for all of my previous TV’s as well. -New TV looked and sounded terrible and required days of fiddling with adjustments and experimenting before I was satisfied. This is the 1st TV I’ve ever owned that didn’t look and sound great right out of the box. -Old TV had front mounted speakers that projected sound into the room (makes sense since people sit in front of the TV instead of below or behind it). -New TV has bottom mounted speakers that projects sound beneath the TV and into the media cabinet. This seems to be the industry standard now as new TV’s don’t appear to have front mounted speakers anymore (a great way to get people to buy speakers). -Old TV had a convenient single-click closed captioning feature that worked with my DVD & DVR players. It’s not the sort of thing I needed all the time but if I couldn’t understand what someone said, I’d simply rewind, press CC and replay. -New TV’s closed captioning doesn’t work with my DVD or DVR players. It’s not much of an issue for DVD’s since they come with subtitles, but that isn’t an option for my DVR recordings. Also closed captioning is no longer a single-click feature. Instead CC brings up an accessibility menu and closed captioning is inconveniently hidden beneath other items. -Old TV displayed info for all of my channels both local and cable. -New TV will only display info for local channels and nothing for cable. I guess it isn’t compatible with my cable provider. You can manually input the missing names of each station but if you rescan your channels, it erases everything you input. If you’d like to take a chance on this Samsung, then good luck. If I could do it over again, I’d probably consider the next size up and skip Samsung all together.

Good picture, some annoying features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this set to replace an older Samsung set that I bought when flat screens were the new thing. I bought this specific set because it fits the furniture I have and has a much better looking stand than those hideous two-little stands that most sets come with these days. The picture looks great (as expected) but the smart features make everything run slower. For example, changing channels on my cable box is easy but the television set takes its time before coming up with the picture. More than twice as slow as my older (non-smart) set did. The set also does not recognize my Apple TV which apparently is not that uncommon. There are some run-arounds to apparently solve this issue but i haven't tried it yet. My old set worked with Apple TV just fine. The CD player took a bit to set up as the first time I plug it, the sound on the set went off when watching regular television. Basically it took some time to get things running and wasn't nearly as fast as other claim in the setup. Also, the WiFi receiver is weaker than most of my other devices so the signal to the internet would drop now and then. I fixed that but it was another annoying thing about it. My main complain is how slow things are through the menus and when using a cable box or satellite receiver and even when using the internet with services like Netflix. In the old set I used Netflix through my AppleTV which is much faster as far as that goes. I asked a friend that also owns a smart set and his response was: "You'll get used to the slow channel changing". I hope so, because so far it's annoying. So far a regular set with an AppleTV or a Roku box attached to it works much faster than a smart set. something to think about.

Great TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a 32 inch size quality tv to fit in my office and this fit perfectly. The picture is amazing, with rich vibrant colors and crisp detail. The sound is more than adequate for my purposes. The design and style are impressive as well. Another plus for me is a normal style wall plug, no wall wart with this set! I have had this set for a month and highly recommend it.

TV Has Performed Very Well, Indeed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the TV for about a month. The TV has performed very-very well. I was concerned about the sound (based upon reviews). The TV is the bedroom. Maybe that is a help for the sound. For me the picture has been very good. Overall, the TV is performing quite well to this point.

YES, has headphone jack
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only just set up the TV so my experience with it's performance is limited. The setup was pretty easy so happy about that. The point that I want to make is that I found conflicting info online about whether this smart unit has a standard headphone jack and lots of complicated instruction about how to connect. YES, it has a jack - just plug into the Audio Out port on back. NO, you don't need an additional amp or any converter to get sound through earbuds or headphones. This was key to our purchasing this model. Big shout out to the sales team at my local BestBuy who plugged in to the floor model (even though it was mounted high and hard to get at) to demonstrate for me that the jack fit and worked. Another bonus is this: You don't have to plug and unplug the jack - the sound comes through the jack and TV simultaneously. Muting silences the TV speaker but not the headphones. So, if having easy (wired) headphone capability is important to you, rest assured that this TV is fine. I am sure you can do wireless headphones or earbuds but we found their short battery life to be an issue. As with all things tech, I am sure that will improve.

Solid tv option
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has held up great and the picture is very good as well. My only complaint is that the smart tv menu pops up when it turns on which is slightly annoying since I use an external streaming device. Otherwise, I’ve been very pleased with it. Audio is good for in-unit as well.

No CC (closed captioning) here. Get Panasonic.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two Smart Samsung LED Tv's in different sizes and CC does NOT work here with DirecTv->HDMI->CC, but I also have two Panasonic LED Tv's (one Smart and the other not) that BOTH WORK in CC mode.

Ok tv good price for the size and options
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think the tv is ok i havent been able to use the smart part of it yet. I wish samsung made and included their own tv antenna. I opened the box assembled the tv and plugged it in thinking i would pick up channels from local tv stations right away so no channels were available to me at all no signal so now i have to buy a tv antenna which it should have came with one! Luckily there was one not being used against the window in my living room maybe its my older brothers antenna! but i plugged the antenna in and picked up 42 channels so i got to see the quality of the tv screen and its stations. Also i wish i could screen mirror or link my phone to the smart tv without needing a separate wifi connection and use my data from my phone since i pay for unlimited that would be ideal for me. Smart part of it Seems useless if you dont have a connection to wifi or current internet provider. I dont need internet at home because everything i need i can do it from my phone! So being able to connect a basic smart phone to the tv would be great other than that i think i can live with it! Picture is not that great either i have to go through to many setting to get it looking decent.. hope they work on all my thoughts for how it should be when you buy this tv. Samsung should make all of their smart phones from now on compatable and able to connect to their smart tvs just saying who wants to watch videos on a 5 or 6 inch phone when you can beam or connect it to the tv wirelessly! Without wifi! The connectivity needs to be better between their smart devices. More people would buy both together as an option and have more sales if they did linking smart phones and smart tvs by using their smart phones data.

Satisfied but has sound problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV and immediately set it up with sound cable that I purchased when I bought the TV. The cable goes from the audio out on the TV to RCA plugs into my stereo system. For about a week all was great. The sound through my stereo was much better than the sound just from the TV. After about a week, my wife and I were watching a show on the TV with the sound coming from the stereo and all of a sudden the sound died. No more sound from the stereo. the TV sound still works fine. I have done the chat thing with Samsung. I chatted for over an hour. In the end the chat person said that I need to buy and optical audio out cable and a converter box for the RCA. This package is about $50. I think the problem is that the audio out failed and Samsung is refusing to do anything about it. I like the TV OK, but I can't recommend any Samsung products because of my lousy service experience.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I searched at various different stores for a small Smart TV. The extras that Samsung includes it definitely worth the added cost. No complaints. The Samsung chat support is great if I ever have an issue figuring out how to make something work.

Nice "little" TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot fit a large TV in my entertainment center and this Samsung TV is perfect! The 3 HDMI ports and Smart function enable my kids and I to use it for web viewing and for apps like Hulu, VUDU, YouTube and others instead of using our gaming systems for that. Wish I could fit a bigger TV.

Would not recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s always difficult to know when to write a review. When do you know when you have enough information to offer valuable insight ? Obviously, we don’t know how long something will last until its life is over but, of course, then it’s too late (hopefully a durable good will last at least that long) to warn someone against an unwise purchase. I’ve had this TV for about a week. The picture, when there’s no action, is magnificent. When there’s movement, especially fast movement, the image is pretty fuzzy. At times, and there seems to be no real way of predicting when or why, an area of the screen, around an object, such as a face, is quite pixilated. I really don’t know whether this is due to the TV or the signal, however. I was attracted by the size of the screen (32”), just right for my study, and enticed, maybe unduly so, by the resolution (1080p), putting more importance in that than in refresh rate. If I could have a do-over, I would buy a TV with a better refresh rate.
