Full area local dimming is evident. Blacks are black. TV supports HDR 10+. Great choice for a small size set. Fits in small spaces.

Inhibits the use of the the tv. Default settings are to the samsung network, so you have go through that to connect to your service. Pretty disappointed with this tv

Learn TV Remote is another feature designed to help users become familiar with the layout and function of each button on the Samsung remote. When enabled, pressing any button (except the Power button, which will still turn off the TV) will prompt the TV to announce the button’s name and its purpose – without affecting TV operation.
This teaching mode is especially useful for users who are visually impaired or new to Samsung remotes. To enable this feature, go to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Learn TV Remote. To exit, simply press the Return key twice.

The picture is great only if you're view is directly in front. The color drains if viewed from the side. My Roku and old Samsung didn't suffer from this problem and I this TV was the most costly. On a positive note, the setup was very easy.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear your Q8F TV is turning on and off unexpectedly. This kind of power cycling can often be resolved with a few troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the power cable for secure connection and signs of damage. If it’s bent, pinched, pressed by furniture, or shows wear, replacing it may resolve the issue.
2. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and test operation.
3. Update the TV’s software (if the TV remains on long enough). Note that a power interruption during an update can cause further issues, so only proceed if the TV is staying on reliably. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
4. If your TV is connected to SmartThings, it may be turning on from a signal sent through the network. You can disable this feature by going to: Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile = Off

Horrible remote control

Reason for a 1 star is the remote that comes with the TV is the worst remote I have ever used. I am a big person with big hands. This remote is so small it is almost impossible to use. I have owned this TV for 1 month and already the remote stopped working. Spent an hour on the phone with Samsung and they finally got it to work again. The other reason for the 1 star is the manuals that come with this are useless. If they had posted information about trouble shooting the remote I would not have wasted an hour + on the phone today. I cannot recommend the TV
