Bought this for my son as a starter package because he wants to play PC games. The screen is very nice for this price and I was told for the money it’s a really good deal. Clean and crisp picture, smooth operation so far.

This monitor is maybe the best gaming purchase I've ever made. Coming from a low-refresh rate 4k monitor, I was slightly concerned that coming down to 2k would look bad to me. However, I have fallen in love with this monitor. It's clean, sharp, easy to mount, and ENORMOUS! This monitor replaced two separate monitors for me, and I feel like I've gained space. When not gaming, I'm a lawyer by trade so I need to have several documents and windows open at a time, and this monitor provides plenty of space for me to do so.

The monitor isn’t very ergonomic — the stand has limited adjustment and doesn’t feel very stable. The screen also looked a bit blurry, which made it less enjoyable to use. Overall, not quite what I expected. Affordable Option with a Few Drawbacks. Worth the Price, Despite Comfort and Clarity Issues.

I’ve gone through TWO of these Samsung 34” Odyssey G5 Ultra-Wide monitors in just 6 months—both failed catastrophically. First unit: The menu knob was so loose it literally fell off within weeks. Second unit: After only 4 months, the screen developed a full white haze across the display (photos attached). Completely unusable. Samsung’s warranty? A joke. Yes, it’s under their 1-year warranty, but they expect me to pay for shipping to send it in—because of where I live. Their own rep (very polite, but powerless) confirmed that customers in some locations have to foot the bill to get THEIR defective product repaired. Ridiculous. Build quality? Cheap plastic garbage. Shocking for a monitor marketed to gamers. You feel it the moment you unbox it—nothing premium here. False advertising alert: “HDR compatible” is printed right on the box, but don’t be fooled. The HDR implementation is laughably bad—washed out, dim, and not real HDR as multiple reviews have already pointed out. Bottom line: Don’t risk your hard-earned money. There are better, cheaper options out there from AOC, LG, and others who actually stand behind their products. I regret not listening to the red flags. You’ve been warned.
