Bought 3 years ago - Motor went out Aug 2020
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had for only 3 years, now as of August 1, 2020 won't advance to wash. Had repair out as Samsung says its out of warranty. Repair guy said Motor is shot, should be covered under 5 year warranty. Samsung dragging their feet.

Foul smell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in May of this year it is now December & there is a foul smell coming from the washer. Very disappointed to purchase what I thought would be a great washer only to have it with the mildew smell in less than a year.

Too costly to have this problem.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit was delivered and installed by Besty Buy professionals. The washer, no matter how many times it is leveled and releveled, walks around the room. It vibrates terribly and can be heard throughout the house!

Best Investment EVER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washing machine is, by far, the best investment I have ever made. First of all, much like the Tardis, this unit is far bigger on the inside. I kid you not -- after we had it initially set up, the first thing we did was just start loading laundry into it until it was about 3/4 full, not really paying attention to how much was going in. After taking the laundry out of the corresponding dryer unit, we found that the total haul was 30 shirts, 4 pairs of pants, two towels that got tossed in by mistake, and an entire laundry basket crammed full of socks and undergarments. Even more awesome, is that the machine spends the first minute or so doing some calibration spinning to judge how much laundry has been loaded into it, and adjusts the time accordingly, making sure that everything gets washed just right, with no waste of resources. I should also point out at this point that, even without "extra spin" enabled, the clothes came out of the washer almost dry, which made them super quick to finish drying in the dryer unit. Then again, I suppose this makes sense if you were to watch the washer running on the spin cycle... it runs so fast that the water on the door is forced vertically upwards. Yeah. Secondly, I don't know what magical creature Samsung has harnessed to power this beast, but this machine does the impossible. Let me explain: It's a long story, but our apartment super-flooded (unrelated to the washer, I might add) and, by the time all was said and done, we had around 30 towels covered in mildew. White towels. Black mildew. That's usually game over. Ever the optimist, I threw them all in the washing machine on the yet-to-be-used "heavy duty" setting, loaded up the soap (no bleach) and let them go. End of the cycle, I pull the towels out, and they're completely clean. Not one spot of mildew on them. A few month's later, a failed pocket checking attempt led to three ink pens detonating on a washer run and tye-dying an entire load of clothes. Not cool -- that's a lot of laundry looking at the dumpster. Again hopeful I put them back in on the heavy duty setting with just soap (no stain remover or OxyClean or anything), and let them go. Took them back out at the end of cycle... the ink was GONE. Every last drop. Gone. Like it never happened. (Anyone with family members involved in sports, or that has kids in general, heed the above. It'll save you a LOT of money on not having to replace clothes. The key here is to use COLD water in conjunction with the heavy duty setting.) Tales of epic feats aside, there are a few other things that I enjoy about this unit. It's quiet. Tiny little apartment plus light sleeper usually results in the inability to run laundry while napping. Not so much the case. Additionally, the allergen setting has been really helpful with the spring/summer starting to pick up. To top it all off, it SINGS. At the end of cycle, the washer (optionally -- it can be disabled) sings out a happy little ditty that raises the spirits of everyone in the area. Only a machine could be that pleased about doing laundry...

Great choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for something thoroughly up-to-date but not over the top. This washing machine has all the practical cycle choices and features I need, without all the extra ones I wouldn't ever use. Quiet, pretty, efficient, decent capacity, and gets the laundry done right at a good price point.

we returned, we were replaceing a similar item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were trying to replace a similar item since the original didn't last past 7 years, we wanted it to fit the pedestal that we already had, it didn't and we were not buying another overpriced pedestal again, so we returned and went with another brand.

One BIG FAIL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm completely dissatisfied with Samsung - 4.2 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer - White!!! It only worked for a couple of washes. Water leaked during the third wash!!! Best Buy had replaced it but had the same issue. This washer has caused me too much headache and has wasted my time dealing with the issue!!!
