The washer worked OK but now it displays a faulty message, and it's not possible to start the test program. It does not wash, rinse or spin. Look at the reviews on" consumer affairs" before buying. The reviews here from buyers who has used their machine for a few times are still in the blue.

Very bad purchase, the protection plan didn't help

Very cheaply made. Started to have issues from the first month. It had so many repairs I lost count. At last my 5-year protection plan was cancelled because it reached its repair limit or something at 4 years. It broke again a month after that and I had to buy a new washer. Stay away at all costs. It's not worth the trouble.

I bought this from Pacific Sales, Was recommended over the Westinghouse. Got the Pedestal. Mistake. When did my first small light delicate load and machine goes into start slow spin, its starts walking across the floor. Now you might say, well, the installer just didn't have the pedistal leveled.- Nope. It was completely leveled and solid. It was so outa balance, as it started to windup in speed, I had my camera video on and ready the second time and recorded the loudest banging noise as the drum hit against the side of the washer insides. What a ridiculous thing. My old Maytag neptune was more solid than these light weight machines. Next complaint. Hardly any water goes in except only on Bedding mode. I'm just as water conscious or more than the next guy, but that is also ridiculous, how can you dry wash a load of clothes properly without water? Then there's the detergent adder tray or whatever you call it. Ergonomically all wrong design in my opinion. I took out the slow to dispense soap tray right away. Difficult to put the bleach into its compartment without dripping and spilling bleach on whatever is below. Review generally say 4.2 outa 5.0, but that's very gracious of the reviewers I'd say. more like a 3 and half tops. In the end Pacific Sales took it back so that was good business. They had an LG on the floor and a bit more expensive. model # WM3370HWA w/ the feature we wanted. It has a psuedo Steam cycle but all thats a gimmick. All in all, look elsewhere, try the LG, Westinghouse or comparable for the price.

    Inproper washer installation

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Had an existing 6 yr old washer sitting in a washer overflow steel pan. On initial set-up, installer did not indicate any problem with having a washer pan and set new washer approx. 3" out from wall. Told me it would be level after I cut pan to fit the new washer size. I cut the pan to accommodate the new washer then found out the washer was not level. Called for another set-up and they came out and re-leveled. Washer still would not stay in place, hoses crimped and broke and leaked, so I wanted to exchange for washer that would fit better in space. Department Manager refused and told me the pan was the whole problem. I, by myself, took washer out, removed pan, tiled the floor, reset washer according to red warning tag on back of the washer (apparently they did not read or if so follow instructions) stating install 6" from back wall for proper hose clearance and then properly leveled myself. With the proper spacing behind the wash now extends 3" into the doorway to the laundry so now I need to install a new door. Why didn't the INITIAL INSTALLER recognize that the pan wouldn't work and that there was not enough room for this washer. I could have still exchanged at that point, now I am stuck with a lot of extra time, work and money to fix. Washer is good. I have also been back to the store three times to rectify this, with no success. I am totally DISSATISFIED with the install. I think when they install it and leave it should work properly!

Warranty Service Horrible - Bad Customer Service

    Posted .

We are apart of a small HOA. Three years ago we bought this Samsung Washer WF42H5200A. We were told that this washer wouldn't be finicky or cause problems with a complex of 7 units by the Best Buy team. We bought extra warranty just in case. Three years later the washer broke down (present day). It took more than a month to get a solid answer from Best Buy and the people they outsource the warranty work to. Yes, it's COVID time but call after call, they kept giving us that excuse. "Oh sorry ... we're waiting to hear back from the technician" and another "Oh ... the technician lost his phone for a week". When we finally got our answer, they said the warranty was void because people were using different types of washer detergents ... common, this is so subjective, a gray area. Your team told us that this washer would be fine?! You basically strung us along for a month and in the end you didn't provide any value with your warranty. I understand your reasoning but you completely fell short in providing excellent customer service that we all deserved.

DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINES

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINES!!!! They are notorious for the drain pump failing which leads to a CATASTROPHIC water leak all over your floor! Customer support is awful and my plumber won't even service Samsung washing machines because parts are not available. This in a washing machine that is only 6 years old. Samsung will not honor any warranties and insist you pay for the repair of the unit without regard to the property damage sustained from the leak. Samsung is awful and will never buy any of their products again and would advise you not to do so as well

We have had our front load washer for about 2 years, and now we are seeing balck mold that is imbedded into the front rubber seal. I have tried to get rid of it with chlorine but the stain is still there. Called Cust Service and they stated to run the 2hr pure cycle. But it will not remove the stain. Also this washer does not clean the cloths as well as our old top load washer. Eveny though these look great they dont do the job in my opinion.

Machine is terrible. Broke down twice in 4 years. Samsung support is outsourced to other countries so good luck on getting any help. It’s all a scam to make you pay their repairman to come out and diagnose the issue or to pay for a new machine.

    Washer leaks

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We have had this washer for only 5 months— the whole time we have had it it has leaked from the BOTTOM of the washer, not from the door. We have had three service techs come out under the SAMSUNG warranty and all seemed to have fixed the machine at the moment, and then a few washes after it leaks again. If we didn’t have a pan under our washer we would have definitely had water damage on our floors by now. Not sure if we just got a faulty machine or not but it’s been a hassle calling Samsung constantly to honor their warranty to address the issue since we bought the machine brand new from Best Buy at full price only five months ago. Samsung finally agreed to give us a refund/exchange and now we have to buy a new washer. But it won’t be this one!

Bought this in May of 2020 and got a 3 year best buy protection plan on it. It broke in June of 2024 so we couldn't use the protection plan. Tried to get it repaired but the repair technician let us know that the parts that were broken would cost just as much as a whole new washer.

Quit working in under two years. The repairman says this is common with Samsung. The control board repair is $180 dollars for the part (not including labor). I will never buy a Samsung washer again. I will buy a used washer before I pay $180+ to fix this unreliable piece of garbage.

    Horrible,do not buy

Do not buy this or any other HE washing machine if you want to actually wash your clothes. It takes 3+ hours to wash anything, if I can say wash, considering that it uses a few ounces of water. The rinse cycle uses even less water. If that isn't bad enough clothes come out with wholes in them, ruined and torn apart from all that spinning with no water. I had to install a hose to fill it up with some water, but then the smart tech would feel the weight and would start draining my water out. If it is doesn't do that, it often washes clothes for less than 15min and then decides to start dry rising for 3 hours. DO NOT BUY.

    Not App-controlled

I chose this washer specifically because it says it is App-Controlled in the listing. I don't know how Best Buy can get away with saying that. App does not control anything. Best it can do is read the error code. Pretty disappointed.

    Washer cycle repeated screws up

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I got this machine at Home Depot in early 2017 because I needed a stackable. It was great for a year, then it kicked into cycles that never end. At 12 minutes it would kick back to 24, at 7 it would kick to 12, at 3 it kicks back to 7. No matter the type of cycle, it screws up. I have had a highly rated appliance repairman here twice. After a happy several weeks the machine cycle screwed up again. Now a different repair shop won't come because they won't touch a machine a different repair guy worked on. This washer is a disaster. Don't get it.

This washer machine is not engineered well and has leaked all over my basement. Samsung support is terrible. Try to post a review! That should say it all. The filter that you have to clean is tough and leaks consistently. The washer tub is now so off balance it will not spin at high speeds and is not pushing an error code. The clothes are so wet my dryer cannot handle them. I can see the shaft holding the back of the tub is worn out. 1 year and 4 months! Perfectly balanced upon installation. Would not recommend any Samsung products after this experience. This is not a cheap washer!
