This has a hard plastic top so rust will not be an issue. Also this unit has a wash setting called Bedding/Waterproof. It is meant to help extend the life of the washer due to wait of the bedding and also extend the life of waterproof jackies by on how is runs the wash cycle.

It has been 4 weeks since delivery and I still can’t use it. It only lets one water temperature of water into the washer. Best Buy has been here to my house 3 times to fix. Now they are replacing it. I’ve been inconvenienced for 3 Saturdays waiting the 4 hour window.
