Not Worth The Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Samsung washer and paired dryer in the beginning of December. I chose this washer for its steam technology and the capacity to wash larger loads. I spend several weeks researching washers and dryers, as well as reading reviews. From everything I read, it seemed like a good buy. I have a Samsung phone, and have been very happy with its performance. Immediately I noticed that the dryer was not living up to its performance claims. Everything would come out damp. I thought that it had to be operator error, since it was a brand new dryer. The dryer would roll all the laundry into a tight ball, and the items in the center would consistently come out damp. I tried everything. I put less in each load, I put more in each load. I ran items through several loads. I tried taking out items, shaking them out and running them through again. I even put a tennis ball in with the load as was recommended on many troubleshooting sites. All of this was very frustrating, however, I assumed it was something that I had been doing wrong. Then, week 3 into owning the washer and dryer, the washer began to leak water out of the front. I could spend time troubleshooting the appliances, calling Samsung, and attempting to have them come and repair/ correct the issues. However, after installation, taxes, and the extra kits that are required for the steam technology, I ended up spending around $1800. These appliances are less than a month old. Both of them should not be experiencing the issues that are occurring. My concern is that if they are having issues this early on, what it going to happen in a year or two? The washer and dryer that I had owned previously were over 15 years old, and were both still in working condition with no repairs ever performed on either appliance. Furthermore, I do not have the time to spend going back and forth with Samsung and/or Best Buy to get these brand new appliances fixed. I am returning them before the 30 return policy expires. I would not recommend Samsung washers or dryers to anyone. For the amount of money that I spent, I feel as though you should be able to have a working washer and dryer without any issues for at least the first month.

Washer is broken and poor response from Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer in January and loved it until November when it stopped mid cycle, door locked, and would not start again. After calling Samsung (the washer is under warranty), they sent out a repair team to try to fix it. The repair company came three days in a row and spent 12 hours on the machine and still didn't fix it. Now Samsung wants a second opinion, which means sending out a new repair company (in 2 to 3 days). This has been total inconvenience and I am very disappointed in Samsung's service and the service companies that they partner with. I have not been able to do laundry for a month and there are clothes stuck in the washer with the door locked. Washer is not fixed yet and there is no end in sight.

Bought a broken product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the washer and when it was brought, it was not installed. I had another washer installed unfortunately. I did not check the washer either. Apparently, they dropped it and broke the door. It was replaced. I did not try the washer. After all this time, I Installed it and it does not work. I bought something broke. A lot of money for nothing.

Failed after 2.5 years of moderate use...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this by saying I have never written a review for anything I've purchased...Purchase date Sep 2015... BOTH circuit boards failure date Feb. 2018. We purchased this 4.5 Cu. Ft front load washer for our home (just girlfriend and myself) from Best Buy and could not have been more excited to try out our first "high tech/high quality" appliance. Let me assure you that this product is neither...We were immediately disappointed with the cleaning quality of larger items (loads of bathroom towels, our comforters, etc.) because of a mildew-esq smell they retained. And now BOTH circuit boards have failed JUST MONTHES OUT OF WARRANTY. I called a local repair shop for examination and the tech let me know that this unit has 2 control boards and BOTH had failed. I contacted Samsung customer to see if the boards were still under warranty to double check and 2 separate techs assured me that this unit was still under warranty. They assigned my service request to a Samsung authorized shop for a 2nd opinion and I just got off the phone with that shop to find out that indeed my unit is out of warranty. The repair of both boards + service would cost $550...The local repair shop suggested Speed Queen and Whirlpool stating "parts are much easier to come by and service is half the cost". I will take this advice and hope you do too...so incredibly frustrated with the time and $ we wasted.

Buyers Beaware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just wanted to share my experience in regarding the washer from Samsung. I purchased the washer in November of 2015. After the first wash the door would not latch properly (I would have to push and hold the door until it locks. Because I didn't get Best Buy's geek squad apparently I had to deal with Samsung customer service. Two years now and I still have the washer; they sent repair team to my house on 13 different occasions and they worked 7 times on the washing machine. They replaced latch on 2 different occasions, wiring harness, the whole front face of the washer, the actual lock, the motherboard and something else. Few months ago my washer would not drain water and they refused to do anything about it because my warranty expired (washing machine was never fixed). After talking to them again they said they would give me money back (check) and I had to hold the washing machine until they pick it up. I am still waiting to receive the check. The washing machine was fine while it ran and did a ok job, nothing special about it. Since the product is in the mature stage of its life they add bunch of bells and whistles on the washing-machine that most people will ever use. Mine may have been 1 in a million but the Samsung's customer-service was the WORST I have ever encountered. I used to love Samsung products and was a loyal customer, the recent events have changed that. Instead of buying Samsung's kitchen appliance I went with LG and couldn't be happier.

Busted after 1 year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this washer 1yr and 3 months ago. A few days ago the rubber around the door tore, and some clothes got tangled in it. The best buy technician was here yesterday and said it would cost $800 to repair. Just a couple of months outside the manufacturer warranty. Save yourself some money and buy something better, or at least get the extended warranty if you get this one.
