A repairman determined the drum was beginning to warp and would cost $1,100 to fix! Samsung would not stand behind the product so we threw it away and got an LG that has been rock solid for the last year.

The authorized Samsung repairman couldn’t fix it. I strongly suspect this Samsung washer has built-in obsolescence; in other words, designed to fail after a certain period of time, so you’ll buy a new one. Repair costs were more than the original purchase and it still isn’t working. After this experience, I will never buy another Samsung appliance again, and, I encourage others to avoid Samsung as well. Neither Best Buy nor Samsung would stand behind this product.
