I compared this model vs the 5400, 5200 and 5000 series from samsung, by far this the best bang for the buck

After researching Front Load washing machine, this one was the best in all around needs.

The washing machine is easy to use but have had issues with door lock not engaging unless I press in the door

I would definitely recommend this product. Its really a quite machine.

This washer started breaking down about 14 months after purchase (just after the 1 year warranty). It will sometimes not run a cycle. It will sometime just stop mid cycle. I have "nursed" it along for a year, as it would sometimes run and sometimes not. Called Samsung shortly after it stopped the first time, hoping they would "stand behind their product", even though it was out of warranty, but no luck. Finally, after a year, decided to have a repairman come out to fix it. Will cost at least $400. They are still not down with the repair yet. Thought it was the main circuit board, but no go. The only positive thing I can say is that, when it works, it does do a good job at cleaning clothes. I may have written a prior review parsing it on this; this was prior to it breaking down.

I can't say enough wonderful things about my laundry pair! The washer works wonders on stains, the dryer unwrinkles curtains in a flash!

I love the speed which it spins so that the drying time is shorter. I also like the choices I have for different loads. No negitives yet.

The brand new washing machine flooded my house, and try as much as I could bestbuy just kicked the blame around till no service was provided. More than a month later a damaged washing machine is sitting in my house, and I don't have a washer or dryer. I tried calling, emailing bestbuy, no response

This is a very efficient washer and dryer. Being able to do larger loads an be conservative with water since I have a septic system

I like the variety of choices for types of wash but do not like the time it takes even though it conserves water it uses a lot of electricity

Washer broke down within two weeks. Flooded the laundry room in my brand new home. Best Buy told me to call Samsung for service. Samsung told me that was wrong and Best Buy should handle the service. Best Buy was called back and their remedy was to replace the washer in two weeks. I told them to pick up both washer and dryer and to refund us the purchase price. Two weeks have gone by and we still have not seen our refund since the machines were picked up. Although they have confirmed a full credit had been processed. Have to wait up to 3 business days they said. This has been a complete nightmare. Purchased a Sears Kenmore Elite Top Loading Washer and matching Dryer the day my Samsung broke down. It was dlvd the next day. Hurray for Sears. They came through when Best Buy dropped the ball.

So far, so good! This washer has been GREAT!!! Clothes come out clean every time!!!
