I have only had this washer a couple months, so I can't really comment on the durability of the machine. However, I can say that in addition to getting my laundry super clean, it seems to have very thoughtful design. I can second the good things said in other positive reviews, and can add a little: -Samsung was the only brand of front loader I could find in which the door could not bump into the open detergent drawer. -Cleaning the "debris filter" is user friendly, a far cry from cleaning the "pump filter" on my old Whirlpool Duet. -It plays Schubert's Trout when the cycle ends, for goodness sake. -You don't have to buy any special product to use with the clean washer cycle. -You can customize various cycles by changing the spin speed, adding an extra rinse, choosing water temperature, selecting soil level, doing a quick wash version of the cycle... I have found these surprisingly useful. -I saw one review which stated the washer doesn't have spin only option. Not true, but you have to read the manual to know that holding the spin button for 3 seconds is how you do it. -The only missing feature I wish it had is a hand wash cycle. Even the delicate cycle with no spin seems too vigorous for underwire bras.

I have had bad luck with appliances so I am aprehensive to say anything too good. But I must say that I love the Samsung washer and dryer. I just hope that it last more than 10 years and some stupid computer stuff doesn't go wrong! See, I don't just how appliance are made these days!

Only wish the end of cycle alarm was a little louder. Really gets clothes clean and many options for drying.
