This machine (or any top loading machine without an agitator) is not suitable for washing comforters. Half of the comforter floats above water and is never turned over. It's a bad design. For comforters that trap air, use either top loaders with agitator or use front loader machine. I'm returning it.

Great washer had no problems clean eazy and eazy to wipe out

Washer machine does not wash your clothes as good as it should. If you go to the gym like me all your deodorant stains will remain in your workout clothes if you don't pretreat them first. Never had this issue with my old school washer with the turner in the middle. I have to wash all my clothes on bedding just to get my machine to use enough water to clean my clothes. I would recommend a front loading washer machine instead of this top load b/c if you look through the clear top (which you can't even see through) it doesn't seem like your clothes are being circulated through the wash.

We have worked this washer and it is still going strong. A little hard with washing comforters but that could just be because of over loading. Not had any issues once we stopped over loading

Frustrating that it frequently stops mid-cycle for out of balance issues. Small loads, big loads it doesn't matter. Ended up getting the geek squad protection plan because of the issues. Reported 5/16 can't come out to fix until 5/25 at the earliest!!! What!!! Horrible, very upsetting. Then they might need to order parts. I need to do my laundry.

cannot add or stop water while filling. if you put deep wash the clothes at top doesn't even move; just soaks at the top. and if you put normal wash there is not enough water; then if you put extra rinse it will recalculate the weight of clothes (still wet with water) and dump full tank of water for just couple of clothes. you can only wash very little clothes at a time which is not worth it. So in the beginning of normal cycle there is very little water and during extra rinse the tub is full of water that the clothes doesn't move at the top, just stays there. but if you don't put extra rinse it does this spray rinsing. and if you have a jacket or something on top of your other clothes, the spray rinse will spray on top of the jacket (waterproof) and none of the clothes underneath will rinse (still full of soap). the spray rinsing lasts only maximum 2 minutes. then it spins for an ENTIRE 20 minutes. i took a sample from the drain pipe at the end of the spin cycle and the water is milky, full of soap. and because people use HE detergent they think that there is no more soap on their clothes (while it is full of soap; you just don't see it because its HE). Overall a very nice way to trick people and get the energy star rating. please buy conventional washer that has a stick in the middle with manual controls. that is the best.

Great machine but must use splashless bleach since the metal on the machine will start to rust. GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT I WORTH IT!!!

Really good washer lasted me a while when it failed i had the warranty, changed it no questions asked

So we bought this about 3 weeks ago and like most washers it's pretty much plug and play. It's early so I can't speak to long term reliability but I will say the one thing I'm not thrilled about is it's weak spin cycle. Even at it's highest level the clothes still come out much more wet than my old washer which means a much longer dryer time.

While we haven't had the issues that were part of the recall, we did participate in the recall campaign, but unfortunately never received the upgrade fix kit. I'm not sure how good Samsung is on their customer service. We bought the matching dryer and w/in 2.5 years, it needs repaired as the belt/rollers are making a high pitch noise. Also bought a Samsung microwave (new construction house) and it died w/in 2 years. I will not buy Samsung again

Picked up this washer in November 2017 and it worked great until January 2018 when it would just fill completely with water and just sit there. Called Samsung and had to argue with the rep on the phone to get a repair service scheduled. After three different repair techs came too work on the machine i had had enough, I called Samsung and told them to fix it or replace it....never heard back from them. Tried calling for service two more times and no one was ever sent. As of next Monday Im just going to have to swallow the $700 it cost for the machine and have a trash hauling service remove it from my garage as i went to sears and bought a Kenmore(which works great). My best advice is to avoid this model of washer or samsung altogether due to the poor customer service they seem to provide for appliances.

I,m confused, bought this for energy efficiency, had It about a month now, Takes 1 to2 hours to wash a large load and 2 hours to dry a load. What's up with that? my old washer took about an hour to dry same size load, jeans seem to have more moisture in them and I even tried an extra spin after 2 hours of wash time by the way. good news so far no leak Hope I didn't just jinks myself

We have had this washer for 6 weeks now and we love the way it works.

I can't believe I hesitated to buy this washer. Quite, efficient and easy to use.

Purchased in 2018 and the top has been rusting out for about a year.

After a few years this washer does not wash. Our machine gets a lot of mildew and debris at the end of the cycle. We tried the self-clean function about 4-5 times with baking soda and vinegar but it did not work. Samsung has many recall washers that need to be fixed, but even afterwards the machine is faulty. Samsung customer service is very difficult to reach and they have mechanisms that purposely prevent you from getting your washer fixed. The other day I was on the line for an hour and spoke to 10 different people who couldn't help me. We finally scheduled an appointment for our THIRD repair, only to find that Samsung will call your home phone number and cancel your appointment if you don't pick up the phone. And it is IMPOSSIBLE to call the number back to reschedule your appointment. Samsung also does not issue a refund unless YOU HAVE TWO REPAIRS and the repairman declares that your washer needs replacement parts. Our second repairman only stayed 15 minutes to press a few buttons and tell us to self-clean the machine multiple times. It did not work and my clothes, and machine, are still dirty. Samsung owes me a new washer because clearly they do not care enough to fix my old one. It's been way less than the 10 year warranty guarantee.

Purchased this machine to replace older machine that quit. 4.5 rated cu foot, actual usable is 2 or less. Clothes won't wash or rinse out well, having to rewash occasionally. Ended up having to add 1-2 gallons of water at beginning of wash to get clothes "heavy" enough for machine to fill to 1/2 way mark. Called Best Buy, they stated that we should have been told when purchasing it that that is the way these HE machines work. Well, guess what. No one told us that. Wouldn't have bought it if known. BB sent out Geek Squad to check, said machine worked as intended, to try using longer settings and "heavy" soil levels, which make the machine run for 1 1/2 hour or so. So much for "efficient". Called to return machine, was told BB has 14 DAY return limit. Well, I guess I'll just have to stay away from BB from any other purchases.

7 months after I purchased this washer, it leaked all over the laundry room causing us to throw out the damaged items and clean up an inch of water. A technician said that this model will leak if you use certain settings and replaced a chip. He said he brought the part because he knew immediately what the problem was. 5 months later it leaked again and they wanted $240 for the service call and then we would have to pay for the repair because it was then out of warranty. By then we could have bought a new one so we decided to shop somewhere else and get a different brand. I had my last 2 washers for over a decade each and couldn't believe this happened not just once but twice. I had no luck with Samsung nor Best Buy which is a shame because I used to buy every appliance there.
