a little too pricey, but it does the job... one bad thing about it is the smell... you have to run the "clean" cycle at least every couple of weeks.

I've had this washer for a year, and it's time to review it. This is the worst appliance I've ever had, here's why: 1. Noise. The last 5 minutes of the cycle are so loud that you can hear the machine rattling around from outside. This is with an even surface and the spin speed set to low. 2. Mildew. I noticed this about 6 months after installation. There were flecks of a brown film in the washer and on clothes after running a load. I thought at first that I'd left something in a pocket or maybe had something stuck to my clothes. But it started happening with every load. So I took of the pulsator cap and removed the pulsator (the bottom part of the tub). The underside of it was caked in mildew. Cleaned it but 4 months later the same thing happened and I had to clean it again. 3. Endless unbalanced loop. For the most part, washing full loads is fine. However, when you wash a single item (like a blanket) or a small load, the machine tends to get thrown off balance during the spin cycle. When this happens, the machine stops with a unbalanced error code. Then, inexplicably, the machine fills back up with water and adds more time to the cycle. Once you reach the spin portion, the washer gets thrown off balance and starts the process again. I watched this loop complete 4 times once, just for curiosity's sake. I am certain that without intervention, this machine could loop dozens if not hundreds of times, each time wasting more water and energy. Now if I wash a small load, I have to periodically check in on the machine and stop it before the unbalanced loop begins. Then I rearrange the clothes in the tub and manually set the machine to spin cycle. Then I watch the 10 minute spin cycle complete to make sure it does not unbalance again. Any one of these three issues would be an annoyance, but having all three is ridiculous.

This washer has been great! It has definitely been put to the test and has worked every time.

We have had the washer now for 5 months and everything seems to be going well. After reading the reviews on the deep wash setting, we have steered clear of it!!! Our laundry area is the basement so it is not a huge worry, but still going to avoid it. From what it seems, our clothes appear to be getting clean on the normal washes. It is nice to see how much time is left on the wash cycle.
