This washer gets items clean BUT, it weighs 200 pounds. If you move, have some muscle ready. I am also NOT a fan that every couple of weeks it forces itself into Self-Clean mode which takes 4 hours to complete and a ton of water!!! I would save your money and get a hotpoint for half the money.

Washer needs small loads only or the door locks and continues to add water and spins for the entire day. You quite literally need to manually drain the water from the bottom for the door to reopen. As for the dryer… it pull more amps than it states, overheats and trips the breaker every time you start the dryer. Both an electrician and Samsung did not know how to fix it. It’s a new home and 2023 new washer and dryer. Never buying again.

After only 2 years of moderate use(only me and my wife without kids), it stopped dispensing fabric softener. I cleaned the top where the water jets are, still not working.

This unit was to replace a Samsung top loader that was recalled after six months of ownership. Unfortunately, I can not give a higher rating for the replacement at this time as there were two large dents to the unit when it was delivered. I took delivery of the dented washer, because the recalled model was nonfunctional. We’ve run six or seven loads through the unit, which performs as expected. The delivery guys were good and the local Best Buy has ordered a replacement for the replacement. I will follow up when it is delivered.

It looks like a kid toy, not impressed with the overall quality. Retuned.

There is some serious flaw with the design of this washer. Overall it works great but for some reason it holds water inside the machine and you have to drain it every month and the smell and amount of water is ungodly. I have owned several washers in my lifetime and I've never had to service mine monthly and drain stagnant water out of it. I wasn't aware you had to do this until it stopped working after 6 months of owning it. Thank god for You Tube - Just say no!

Purchased this item from the outlet and had some issues with it shaking. Because it was not listed as purchased new, I was out of the factory warranty and had to pay out of pocket for repairs. The spring came a lose and it was super loud and walked from the wall. After having it repaired, it is better. All in all, I like the washer, but next time will not purchase one from the Best Buy Outlet.

This is the only washer I've ever had that you cannot store anything on top, the spin will shake it off. Also, it is noisy when spinning. We purchased a Samsung 4.5 front loading washer & dryer in mid-July. We complained that the spin cycle was rough. Best Buy promptly replaced the washer, mid August. We didn't ask for a replacement, Best Buy just swapped & we got another Samsung 4.5 front loading washer, same model and features. (Good Job BB!) However, same harsh spin cycle. Best Buy sent a tech. Tech basically said 'That's normal' for this model. He ran the spin cycle on the highest setting and it was relatively less agitated but we don't want all our clothes on high spin. Tech was knowledgeable, prompt and friendly but offered no solutions to the spin vibrations. I gave the review 2 stars because it plays a happy song when it finishes washing.

This is the 2nd Samsung Front Load washer my family has had break down around the 4 year mark. Highly disappointed w Samsung washers for longevity and quality. I tried contacting support to obtain a repair however it was stated that they would not cover any repair costs. Just had a repair man come out and they concluded the power cord needs to be replaced, door latch system has malfunctioned, and the mother board needs replaced. Total cost of repair is $850 which is silly to complete for a $699 unit. If Samsung doesn't stand behind their products this may be the last Samsung item I buy.

I will not purchased a Samsung appliance ever again. I purchased this dryer in November 2023 and had it installed in December 2023. It completely stopped working (no lights, no sound, not even a hum) on December 16, 2025, just nine days after my Best Buy Total Tech expired. Fingers crossed it can be repaired. I would not recommend this product.

I will say this it’s seems to get clothes washed. A few things I’m not liking this is a very loud washer machine everyone in the house knows when it is running. The second thing I’m not like at all is water that is left after the cycle on the glass door. You have to leave the door open so it can dry. I hate returning stuff but I’m going to have to because I’ve had the washer for 2 weeks and it already has a mildew smell.

We noticed after the final spin cycle when washer turns off the clothes are still very wet like it didn’t spin long enough to remove excess water from load. Our previous Samsung washer practically dried the load to a damp touch. Tried every wash cycle and same results.

This Samsung washing machine failed before it was 2 years old, the control panel failed which is a $300 part with a long lead time and fairly expensive to install. I had to scrap this and buy a new one, apparently this is a common issue with Samsung washers.

This is our second Samsung washer. The first one, a top load model, has been in use for over 8 years and is now being used by my daughter. However, this front load washer has been problematic. In May of this year, we had to replace the water pump despite regular cleaning and maintenance as recommended by Samsung. Now, the drum bearings have failed and repairs could cost up to $600 and take several weeks due to parts availability and labor hours. Unfortunately, the Best Buy protection plan has expired, leaving us with an unusable washer purchased on June 8, 2022. While the washer has attractive features and is compatible with the SmartThings app, the frequent breakdowns make it a poor investment. As a loyal Samsung customer who also owns Samsung phones and a Q80 TV, I am deeply disappointed with this product. It is worth noting that our Samsung refrigerator's ice maker has also experienced multiple issues. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this particular washer to others.

I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with dogs. My dogs have shorthair and don't shed very much but I have to remove and clean the filter every 2 weeks (about 5-6 loads) or the machine stops working mid-load. Dog hair on the rubber seal made water leak out the door although the self clean cycle fixed that issue. The machine stopped with a SUD error, allegedly meaning I used too much detergent. I used one HE pod for a full load. It took me an hour to fix that error message. The top of the washer is full of scratches from a plastic hamper and the spin cycle shakes the whole house.

Washer was working great the last 2 years and then this morning the door shatter while washing bedsheets... idk how this happens.

Overall, the product was pretty good. I love the way it washed the clothing and all the different settings it had but after one year of using it, the drum went out so I am so happy. I am so happy that Best Buy was able to exchange it for me and I purchased another one similar to that one.

The new washers require a new pedastal every time. Best Buy does not allow you to use your old one. This is very wasterful and Best Buy should consider enviornmental friendly resuse options. Also they require you to buy a hose without knowing how long of a hose you need. Again, more waste. Plus the installed couldn't install the machine bc he didn't have any other hose sizes with him.

It worked well for exactly the same number of months that it was under warranty. Six days after warranty, it stopped draining water. We spent hours with Samsung support diagnosis by text messages. In the end the technician had to come in to fix. We don't know yet how much it would cost to fix.
