    Washer is amazing, the installation and delivery if this product where very poor, dents in the washer, delivery workers left my house with mud stains on the wall from the old washer and some questionable damage to my house. Supposed to receive a 50 dollar gift card as part of the sale, a month later and no card....we usually go through best buy because of there sales and service. This experience was a big let down.

    OPEN BOX Samsung Washer

    I bought an OPEN BOX Washer from Best Buy, as a brand new option wasnt available anymore. Given the option of buying one in good or excellent condition, I opted for excellent condition (and paid more for it!) but received an item that was not even in good condition! Best Buy didnt offer a delivery service for it, so I rented a truck and drove 45mins to the location that had the "excellent" condition. The item was wrapped in Bubble Paper and not visible to me, when I had professionals come to install it, it was unpacked and we discovered, that the machine did not just have a few scratches and dents, but was literally banged up, as you can see in the pictures (probably because it was on display as a stacked option!) and it was missing screws, causing the top to come off entirely, A safety issue that could have caused harm! I contacted Best Buy about this issue and for the past month have been given the run around and basically the only option given was to return the machine, which would cost me to rent another truck, get a helper unhook it, etc. - all I wanted is a credit for the difference I paid more and that seems sheer impossible for them to do... I said Id accept a store credit for it, but no one until this day was willing to help me and instead they now force me to drive 45mins to the store where I picked it up. The machine works perfectly fine, but I would advise to not buy open box devices from Best Buy! As you will not receive what you assume you ordered / paid for!

    Door doesn't latch all the time

    Washing good. Latch on door is loose and doesn't close all the time. The metal latch is loose or will move slightly causing issues when I close the door. It must be missing a gasket or washer.... Shouldn't be loose like that... It does wash great. Would be 5 Star if door closes like it should

    Does a good job cleaning with all the different settings. One drawback, the button ink have begun to smudge within a year.

    Nice large capacity, and I like the multiple and flexible settings including "presoak". It has braille on the control panel. Door flings open fast and hard when you open it and is difficult to close.. perhaps an adjustment that can be doneif I dig in the manual. Wish the installer would have noticed that. It gets stinky - even if you are using it daily. This did not happen with my old Samsung Frontloader (which I had for 9 years). Good thing it has the washer clean mode on it - but I hate to have to waste time and water running that! I don't think there is a way to turn the end of cycle alarm off so if you get it going before bed it might wake you up. I don't like to have to hold the button down to start it (vs just pressing it) I am sure there is a safety reason for that. I had to replace my old Samsung Dryer a year ago and this new washer does not match! It would be nice if the styling was somewhat consistent from year to hear. But - it works, and seems to get things clean!

    Great capacity, easy to use, and clothes are clean. The only drawbacks are the door doesn't seem to be sealed completely because it shakes a bit when on the spin cycle. The other drawback is doesn't have a programmable favorite cycle.

    We have had this washer a year, and it does a great job but it’s INSANELY LOUD. If I am too close to it my watch goes off saying the decibels are over 120 loud, and we can’t take it anymore so we are replacing it.

    Its a washer pretending to be more

    SmartThings needs to be smarter. You can't really control the washer from the SmartThings app, you can't control the washer from outside your home network. With it being front loading, and stackable, the placement of the drain could have been better. So far I've had no issues with actually washing clothes so it seems to do the one thing its made for well... however its new so appliances working well when brand new SHOULD be the norm. You have to power down the machine to do anything, can't really wash a small load, and need to be mindful of the area surrounding the door - its obvious it will collect socks and other small clothing.

    Didn’t receive my items I purchased!

    I received an email asking me to make a review of my purchase. However the washer and dryer that they showed a picture of we’re not the ones that I received. However they are the ones that I ordered but for some reason Best Buy had canceled my order so I never got an email telling me they canceled my order on the day they were supposed to arrive. I ended up calling customer service to find out my order has been canceled. They couldn’t give me a reason I had paid for my order in cash And ended up having to get an LG open box washer and dryer which I’m happy with but I would’ve love to have the Samsung that I originally purchased but that didn’t happen so there’s my review it said I can qualify for a $400 gift card for me doing this . Let’s see if my luck has changed and win the gift card. It’s not fair for me to be able to rate this item since I never originally received it so if it lets me, I’m gonna leave them blank if not, I will mark the middle star..

    Ok so annoying is the best way to describe this washer. It works so that’s cool. But it is soooo sensitive! In my old house it worked because it was behind a baby gate and I had my units stacked so I never had the need to reach over it while it was in use but now I have shelving above and you cannot reach to get anything because if you touch it in the SLIGHTEST bit it will shut off while it’s washing and you can’t just start it back up where it stopped!!! You have to restart the wash every time losing the soap with it. My boyfriend and I each have done it several times by accident. I googled it and apparently it’s a common complaint that Samsung says they can’t fix due to emergencies but there’s got to be a solution. My toddler is only 2 so she hasn’t noticed yet but I know the time will come so not looking forward to her learning that new trick! If you have them stacked it’s a little better because then you’re not reaching over while it’s in use.

    Vibrates and LC error code

    I’ve bought several open box appliances, which have all been wonderful. This one is bad. It vibrated unbelievably, I went on Samsung’s website because there was nothing in the book about what to do. I did everything to the very last suggestion which was recalibrating. It got better, but I’m only doing small loads. Now, even though I haven’t done very many washes it wants to do a pure clean. So I did. It’s a four hour job…the very last hour it LC errored . By the way, the manual that came with the washer didn’t have any codes in it so you have to look them up online. Found out that LC stands for leak. I checked everywhere there’s no leak, and it would not finish!! It wants me to start all over….. Thankfully, I have my old (not front load) washer that I I’m able to use until I have time to deal with this. I hope they can help and I’ll let you know what the fix is or what they say.

    Buyers Need the Offered 5-Year Warranty

    The built-in control process to balance a load that has larger and heavy items (e.g., towels, jeans) uses alternating left - right rotations of the washer drum; but it is inconsistent. Some loads will wrongly distribute the heavier items during the spin cycle such that the washer violently shakes almost enough to break open the washer door. The locked door holds, but nothing on top of the washer can stay without falling off. The contractor hired by Best Buy installed the washer and this problem has occurred on multiple uses of this washer since new. Will have the warranty claim cover a repair or replacement, as needed, after one more month of use to see if it gets better.

    We first got the open box washer even though we ordered brand new, after few days we got the brand new washer installed. Buying experience from best buy is always good except delivery experience where you have to careful cheers. Cheers!

    We purchased this washer as it has a “quick wash” option. At approximately the third load, the washer violent shook during the spin cycle. We set up a maintenance call with Samsung but decided to continue using it with light loads and lesser spin cycles. It performed well under those conditions, so we cancelled the service call and are using it carefully. The spin cycle is very fast which I suspect contributes to it walking about the floor! Further, when installed, the installers incorrectly switched the hot and cold supply tubes, possibly because as you face the back of the washer the hot inlet is on the right rather than the expected left position as most faucets. Not Samsungs fault as it’s labeled, but could have been avoided if unit was engineered with the traditional hot/cold positioning.

    Child-lock doesn’t disable the power button

    Let’s start with the machine itself overall it’s alright, cleans the clothes has a variety of settings, your average washing machine, however even with child-lock on the power button can still be turned on and off, this means that if you have centrally located laundry like in a kitchen that not only children, but cats can turn off the power mid cycle and sometimes you don’t notice till you’re transferring soapy clothes (an issue that I did not have at all with my previous washer (not Samsung) because child lock locked every button except the combo to turn it off) it’s been MONTHS and I have no figured out a way to solve this issue, I’ve tried covering the power button with a towel, with painters tape, doesn’t matter because all that is required is pressure on that spot. Now moving onto Best Buy, my delivery / Customer experience with Best Buy was so awful that I ended up buying the dryer directly from Samsung which I would absolutely recommend over buying from Best Buy the experience all around with Samsung was 200 times better than with Best Buy, I will never buy another appliance with them again.

      b. DIY Solutions: If you’re still covering it with tape, you could try something sturdier, like a plastic or metal cover, which would require more effort to move. You can use a small plastic box or container to create a protective shell around the power button, securing it with velcro or a hook-and-loop fastener so it's easy for you to remove when needed.

    I returned both the washer and dryer. With in the first week the washer got stuck on the spin cycle.. I thought it might be a one time thing but it did it again and then it started getting real loud during the spin cycle. It was in my window to return and I was not going to take a chance on keeping them. Also the amount of water left in the door seal and the door seemed flimsy.. just did not think this was going to last very long.

    Loud when spinning

    I like the look and it washes very well. The problem is that it shakes like mad during the spin cycle. You can hear it from across the house even if we adjust the spin to medium. We had it installed by BestBuy. Over all, it’s a good value if you don’t mind the loud noise during the spin cycle.
