We’ve had this 18 months, and it was never as quiet as we thought ot should be. Just the other day, it started shaking and banging during the spin cycle. It wasnt full by any means - just kid clothes so nothing heavy - so we called a repair tech. He opened it up, and a concrete counterweight had come loose and broken. He said this type of thing shouldn’t happen, especially in this short a time of use, unless we were washing things we shouldnt have been. I don’t know how it could have been our fault, as we have always been afraid to fill to max capacity.

This unit was to replace a Samsung top loader that was recalled after six months of ownership. Unfortunately, I can not give a higher rating for the replacement at this time as there were two large dents to the unit when it was delivered. I took delivery of the dented washer, because the recalled model was nonfunctional. We’ve run six or seven loads through the unit, which performs as expected. The delivery guys were good and the local Best Buy has ordered a replacement for the replacement. I will follow up when it is delivered.

I like it is my 3rd set and I in love with my was and dryer. The delivery was late but finally home.

Machine goes off balance even on the smallest loads. Every time I hear it, it’s like fingernails on a chalk board. It’s level so that’s not the problem.

The delivery people were rushing and careless when moving and installing the product. They left scratches on the washer and did not communicate during installation.

Quiet, simple to use machine. Has the feature of ability to pause to drop clothes into the washer that you may have forgotten. One small criticism is that the buttons need to be pressed hard to get them to respond. Otherwise, it's a great machine.

Great machine very large capacity washes well. I love that It has a spin only cycle. Rinse and spin cycle. I love the different functions. It has a delay end. And a pre-soak w/ steam function that I’ve never used. But nice to have! The only thing I do not like is how low the water reservoir is. When you need to drain But most machines are low like that but this one really is low. It’s hard to get a pan under so when I open it and drain it and gets all over the floor underneath the washing machine, it’s a hassle every time, but I have to do it. Great washing. I don’t have problems with them and I leave my door open and I spray it with cleaning spray between every fourth cycle. I guess I have a dog who sheds a lot and it does a good job of separating hair and leaving it in the trap where I can get it out I love that. It has a bleach, a softener and a soap contraption. It’s just a good looking machine it’s very heavy, tall strong durable I would recommend. !

We love this Washer and Dryer set. Works fantastic, and fits a decent amount of clothing. Easy to use, easy to adjust settings. Definition recommend!

Aesthetics add no value to how well a washing machine works but it sure makes it a lot more pleasing to look at and adds a bit of sophistication to your laundry room. The platinum color and dark smoke glass make it look a lot nicer than the white washer it replaced. Functionally it works great, has all the options you would expect and is very quiet. It has an app integration that you can use (the washer works perfectly fine without it, if you don't want to use it). Advantages of using the Samsung SmartThings app is that you can start and monitor the wash cycle remotely (say while you are still at the office) so it is done when you get home. It will also give you notifications on your phone when it is done (in case you can't hear your washer because it is in the basement or the garage). I have not used the steam option so far, so I can't comment on that, but overall this is a great washer for the price.

On May 6, 2025, I purchased a Samsung brand stackable washer and dryer at the Best Buy store in Río Hondo, Bayamón, both in Platinum color. The washer is a smart 4.5 cubic foot front-loading model with steam function and super-fast washing. The dryer, on the other hand, is electric, also smart, with a capacity of 7.5 cubic feet and Steam Sanitize+ function. Among the positive aspects that motivated my selection was its modern and functional design: 1. The Platinum finish that combines well with my other appliances and its stackable format saves me space. 2. The efficient performance of the washing machine that offers fast cycles and features like steam washing that really make a difference in my dirty or odorous clothes. 3. Its smart technology since both units can be controlled from my cell phone with the SmartThings app, which makes it easy to monitor cycles and receive alerts and 4. Its generous capacity since the washing machine handles large loads well and the dryer is not far behind, which is ideal for us. I consider that we made a solid purchase for efficiency, connectivity and good design. So far, performance has been reliable and smart features bring real convenience to everyday life. The shopping experience at Best Buy was adequate, although they were not available at the time of purchase, but staff was very attentive.
