I am also NOT a fan that every couple of weeks it forces itself into Self-Clean mode which takes 4 hours to complete and a ton of water!!! I would save your money and get a hotpoint for half the money.

We understand how you feel about the washer's weight and the Self-Clean feature. Let us help.
After every 40 cycles, the Self-Clean icon appears for an hour and then turns off automatically. The icon will appear for five more cycles, turn off, and will not appear for another 40 cycles.
You may refer to page 40 of the user manual for more details about the Self-Clean feature.

Also they are effective in not a very large amount of time, and noise reduction is incredibly low. Love them!

You can wash it dry, you can wash it with steam, you can wash delicate clothes, you can wash clothes that are too dirty, I love it, it's the best.
