Thank you for your review. We see your point of view with the idea that the door can be reversed. It does come in handy and the washer will have more places to be installed.
The door is fixed to open from right to left, hinge is located on the left side of the washer. Unlike dryers where it is possible to reverse the doors, Samsung front load washers will only open from right to left and are permanently set to do that because of the rubber seals to keep water in.

I'll never buy Samsung again

I owned an LG washer and dryer in the past but bought this Samsung because it was cheaper. Fortunately, I was able to exchange in the time window and pay $100 more for the LG that I wanted. Why did I return it? Well, if you just lightly touch the on/off button you will turn it off midcycle. LG has an actually button you have to press. This button on this washer is more like a touch. Just grazing it will turn it off. I did not like the options as I could not customize as much as I can with an LG. This is not wifi enabled; LG is. The delivery guy balanced the washer correctly, but when it went through a cycle, the spin cycle shook so violently, that I thought the washer was going to go through the floor. I would not buy a Samsung washer again.

Broke after 6 months.
