The issue isn't the unit. It stopped working after 6 months, which is a problem. But I bought the extended warranty and thought I'd be golden at least during the initial ownership period before extended kicked in. However, Samsung contracts with local companies and makes absolutely NO guarantee on timeframe or compensation for having to go to the laundromat. My washer broke over a month ago and we're still waiting on a tech after being given the runaround and rescheduled on several times. We live in a major city so there's no real excuse. After calling Samsung to complain loudly they transferred the ticket to a different company and I don't anticipate better results. Meanwhile I'm almost $200 in the hole from laundromat visits (I have six kids) and Samsung flat out refuses any consideration of compensation for that. I paid almost 2k with warranty and installation for a premium washer/dryer set and I'm spending hours every week at the laundromat after owning it for 6 months with no end in sight. The lesson I learned is not to buy from a company that doesn't do its own repairs or doesn't offer a guarantee for repair time. This will be the last Samsung appliance I ever buy.

Also, the manual should indicate to add detergent, bleach, etc. after selecting the cycle and settings; otherwise, detergent does not dispense at all during the cycle. I had to research that issue online.

At first I was apprehensive about the reviews regarding the spin cycle. spin cycle to me is quiet yes it's powerful but it does not disturb me while I'm working or sleeping. I really don't notice it and it's so quick! I definitely recommend

If you're upgrading from an older model dryer (as I was) it may take you a while to get used to the electronic controls. And, if you stack it and you're a short person (as I am, 5'3") buy a stool. You'll need it to read and use the controls until you get used to them. I'm very happy with the dryer.

It's quite and does an excellent job of cleaning my clothes. Only two downsides are the song it sings when it's done, kind of annoying, and the fact that the image of the on/off button and the start button have started to wear off in a little over a year of use.
