No way to turn OFF beeps and "end of wash" 30 second "melody". Insane!! 2. The default water level setting for "Normal" wash is "Extra High" and water Temp is "Warm". So if just press power button and Start, this is what we get. Why on earth doesn't water level default to "Auto Level" and Temp to "Eco Warm"? Very wasteful of water and energy to warm the water.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am beginning to question a lot of good manufactured by Samsung… Not the quality I expected and they really don’t stand behind the goods they make… Doesn’t matter if it’s a cellphone, washing/drying, television, etc… Terrible…In view of the machine the pump went out and I am glad to have Best Buy protection plan…Because Samsung wouldn’t honor their warranty. Look at other product, but don’t waste your money buying Samsung products, unless you get a protection plan through someone else.

I only used twice and didn't like it. It would pause and pop codes. I wanted something more old school and basic dials.

Repeated Clutch Motor Failures; Do Not Buy

Within a couple months it started making a cranking, plastic gear grinding type sound. In Sep 2021 the first repair was done to replace the clutch motor. By Nov 2021 the same noise was back. The clutch motor had failed again. We were offered a replacement unit. We took delivery of that in Dec 2021. By Mar 2022, the same noise on the new unit was present. In Jun 2022, the clutch motor was replaced. By Oct 2022, the noise was back yet again. Needed a new clutch motor. It is evident through a documented and repeated history, that the clutch motor itself is faulty or these units are designed in such a way that they make the clutch motor fail prematurely. While Samsung's support process is aggravating to say the least, they have stood behind their product along the way and repaired or replaced it each time. For us personally, we've opted to move on to a new brand. I would absolutely avoid this unit.

I got the same brand as the old and, on the old one, I was able to turn off the ungodly long, ungodly loud, ungodly unnecessary song that plays at the end of the cycle. NOT AN OPTION ON THIS MODEL! If you hate that song as much as I do (I have chronic migraines, it causes me physical pain) do NOT buy this washer! I am seriously considering sending it back for this reason alone! Why would there not be an option to turn it off?! I even called Samsung Pros and asked how to turn it off only to be told that it wasn't an option! WHY?! It is so obnoxious! Everything else about the washer is wonderful.

It stopped draining and kept displaying an SC error that was only resolved by disconnecting the hose and dumping all of the water out that way. Too much hassle for only 9 months of ownership.

This replaces a front loader, so the function is not as quiet, due to the impeller action (but so worth it not to have to worry about mold buildup). Has a self clean indicator which is very useful. Still working to determine the best water level, since this is a function that is not sensed by the machine.
