This doesn't allow a proper review on their reliability. Just about the only good thing I can say about this washer is it worked as intended for the first 1.5 years. I had heard and been warned about Samsung appliances before, but went ahead and took the risk. I was, unfortunately, wrong to. Only 6 months outside of the warranty period the washer started making an incredibly loud grinding noise, and since it was outside of warranty, Samsung wanted to charge me $300 just to send someone out to service it. I ended up declining since I would have easily sunk what I paid for it, just to get it working again. If anyone is lucky enough to read this before you purchase, do yourself a favor, save yourself both money and headaches down the road and just go with a manufacturer that has a track record of reliability (i.e. Whirlpool, Roper, Kenmore, etc.).

The one we bought was a lemon but they honored the return and this one has been doing great. We had an old washer prior to this one and it has really made a difference with the cleaning of our clothes.
