We bought this Samsung washer to replace our prior model that was subject to the exploding top loading washer recall. Although this model did not match our existing Samsung dryer (that was just over one year old), we quickly got over that aspect and have been happy with this washer. Due to the layout of our laundry area (we have hanging cabinets above the washer), we could not choose a model with the ActiveWash feature because the lid cannot open entirely because of the cabinets, and the lid would slam down as a result of the extra weight of the ActiveWash sink. Plus, the sink would block our access to the detergent / fabric softener compartment. In short, if you have a utility sink in your laundry area already, then spare yourself the trouble of the ActiveWash models. Although that feature is a nice idea, it is not practical in reality due to the design of these machines.

This replaced a Whirlpool about 8 years old at my summer home, much better. However, I had a Samsung washer built 5 years before the recall, it was quieter. That said, this one is quieter than conventional agitator style washers and doesn't shake the entire house like the Whirlpool.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It is out on the edge of new and effective technology.

In light of recent problems and recall issues with Samsung washers, I've experienced no problems. Salesman explained that this washer was manufactured after the recall issues and addresses all the malfunctioning issues of the past. So far, so good.

My wife is happy with spacious machine. No more complaining about it.

Purchased this gas dryer with the washer a few weeks ago. Happy that we replaced the old Kenmore unit that quit on us. Unit is easy to operate. Controls are laid out nicely. Would highly recommend this unit.

Never thought I'd love a washing machine, but if it's not, pretty dang close. Handles queen size comforter with ease. Spin cycle is amazing. Clothes come out dryer than with my old machines which means fewer trips through the actual dryer. Nice.

I switch from a front loader to this one and I am super happy with my washer. I washes well and is quiet. I love how clean my clothes comes out. Great buy!

The washer and dryer combo look good and work great. They run very quiet which I love. The only issue I have with them is that the little song they play when they are done is to long and annoying. Other than that I love them. I highly recommend them.

This washer was a major appliance upgrade for me. Had the washer with the center drum for years and I'm loving my new investment. The washer works well and the large capacity fits my needs. With being able to fit more, I have less piles pending.

I had purchased one of the "exploding-recalled" washers about a year ago. I had to replace that one and purchased the exact same washer, only the newer (non exploding) version. The old one worked fine for a year and I assume this one will do the same. I did have to tweak my inlet hoses to add some hot water to my cold water hose as I live in a very cold climate and have well water that comes out of the ground at about 35 degrees...thus I would have been washing in ice water if I hadn't done a little "jury rigging" of the water lines. Other than that, all is well. One complaint some have had is that the newer washers don't use enough water. I use the Aqua Jet feature and this seems to add more water. I feel an adequate amount of water is being used although it is not as much as the older type agitator washers.

I am very happy with the Samsung High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer. This machine is very quiet when in use, the capacity of the washing machine is twice the size of our previous machine and features many settings that meet our our washing needs.

Overall good quality, I will only add an extra rinse option
