Customers are saying
Customers love the 4.8 Cu. Ft. 11-Cycle High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer's cleaning performance and large capacity, frequently praising its quiet operation and ease of use. However, some customers have noted that the spin cycle could be improved, and the depth of the tub may be a concern for some users. A few also mentioned occasional issues with the washer's balance during the spin cycle, particularly with larger items.

Don't like it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing I like about this is that it is big. My 17 year old Maytag did a better job of spinning out water. Jeans and towels come out of this Samsung heavy. I shouldn't have to do a 2nd spin cycle. I wanted to be able to do larger loads but they take twice as long as my Maytag. Clothes also come out so twisted. If I could I would get the large Maytag with the agitator. I don't feel like the clothes are getting clean using the tiny amount of water this machine uses. I like to be able to set the water level.

Would not buy again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this washing machine for about 6 weeks. I am not sure why all the good reviews. The first one I received was defective. It would not get out of the wash mode. Just kept filling the tank of water and I'm sure I wasted hundred of gallons of water before I noticed it still said 50 left after 3 hrs. I called Best Buy and they exchanged it and told me sometimes they get lemons. The second machine works but really doesn't get the clothes clean. I read the instructions. I calibrated the machine, filled heavy stuff on bottom, didn't over fill...clothes come out okay but not very clean. Today I am washing a queen comforter. I put it under the bedding cycle and it's been running for over 2 hrs. For some reason it won't finish the cycle. It's starts spinning and then starts filling water in the tank....So now I just put it in the spin cycle only and hoping I don't get any error message. I definitely wouldn't buy this again. My cheaper washing machine never gave me a problem...with this one I'm scared to use it for the fear it will break down! You should not be scared of your washing machine!!!

Thought I'd miss the agitator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new machine replaced my 20 year old Kenmore that had an agitator. I couldn't believe a washer without an agitator would wash as well, but it does. I have absolutely no complaints about this washer.

Expensive repair early
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer never did a great job getting clothes clean, often they would come out with spots or not look thoroughly washed, so we have to rewash or at least do another rinse cycle. But then after only 18 months of use, the washer refused to start. Turned out to be a control board that with service charge, labor and part cost was $320. Normally I would have just purchased a new washer, but I had been led to believe by Samsung phone support that the board was under warranty (some have a 2 year warranty, but not the main board - shocker) and I was in a time crunch. Samsung has refused my request to cover part of the cost, stating the warranty is the warranty. But why are SOME of the circuit boards covered by a longer warranty, but not the main one? Also, a washer should last more than 18 months. I'm done with Samsung, period.

Poor choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung washer from Lowes on 3/26/15. After 5 weeks our house cleaner dropped a Tide container on the glass lid and it shattered. The Tide container was around a third full and made of plastic. I took the container into Lowes and told them what happened. They agreed that it should not have broken. They agreed that it was normal wear and tear (at some point someone is going to drop something on the lid). They agreed to allow me to take the top off of one of the defective units that they had in stock. I removed the door and when they located the defective unit, it had a broken lid as well. We contacted 5 other Lowes stores and all were also willing to help but all of their defective units had broken lids as well. The real problem here is Samsung's unwillingness to provide assistance to a consumer who paid good money for their product. I will not buy anything else from them. I have other choices and so do you.

Great Samsung Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I got a great open box deal on this washer for about 1/2 the regular price. This washer has been performing excellent in the past few months I have used it. So many options for different types of washes. Large capacity to handle comforters and even some rugs! (but be careful) I would recommend this washer!

I'd give it zero stars if I could.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, let me say that Best Buy was awesome and I'll get to that in a little bit. However, I am shocked at the high ratings this machine gets. I purchased this because of the high ratings. The first high efficiency machine we had was a different model of samsung and it broke after 3 years. I thought it was a fluke so based on ratings we purchased this model as a replacement. Best Buy had to replace it after a few weeks. It wouldn't balance properly. I was washing sheets and a lightweight blanket in the same load and the machine totally freaked out. It would NOT balance on a "normal" cycle. Best buy was great and brought me a new one no problem. This one broke 5 months later. Samsung customer service was HORRIBLE! They said they could get me the part in 7-10 business days and that I WOULD HAVE TO INSTALL THE PART MYSELF! Ugh! I called Best Buy. They were unbelievably easy to work with. I had a new machine in a few days. I opted for a different brand altogether. I got the GE GTW680BSJWS model and couldn't be happier. Thank you Best Buy for turning a very stressful and frustrating situation into a positive experience!

Amazing washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this washer. It looks so nice in the laundry room and it's HUGE! I can wash all the towels in one load. Or a whole sheet set including the comforter! I hate doing laundry but with this washer I hate it a little less!

TERRIBLE WASHER - My died after 1 1/2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TERRIBLE WASHER!!! My top loading Samsung washer died and would not turn on last night. We've only had it for 1 1/2 years! I was told by a supervisor at Samsung that I should've bought the extended warranty! He also acted like he had never heard of any problems with these washers. I said, "What about the 10 year Drive Warranty for the motor?". He said that that warranty only covers the motor (the actual part)...I'd still have to pay the repairman and for any additional items that need fixing and replacing. Please research more if you're considering buying this washer. There are now many upset customers like me out there who say they'll never buy a Samsung Washer or appliance again! I threw $800 dollars away on mine!

Constant Issues w/Balancing Errors
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Samsung Washer purchased within the past 3 years because the first one got recalled because some were coming apart during the spin cycle. Their 'solution' for the customers was to either put a label on the cycle dial or to 'junk it' and purchase a new Samsung model. The rebate was much higher if you purchased a new Samsung and I also had the Samsung dryer (which works fine) that I wanted to match with. It appears that their 'solution' to the high spin/inbalance potential was to make these washers HYPER-sensitive to the slightest inbalance of the load, which seems to get even worse over time. Here you have a large tub, but good luck if you want to fill it and get through a normal wash cycle. It constantly gets a 'Ur' error, which means the cycle is paused and you have to mess with it to keep it going. This used to only happen to me with heavier loads on the HIGH speed drying cycle. Recently, it's happening with lighter loads on the MEDIUM spin cycle. I still have 6 months left on the warranty, so I might contact Samsung to see what can be done. However, if you read their message boards (search for "Ur error with Samsung washers" or "Samsung washer unbalanced" and you'll see the long list of consumers complaining of the same issue.) I can't imagine why there are such good reviews for this washer, unless they have all been posted within the first few days of buying one.

loudest washer ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the Samsung washer and dryer in November of 2016. WE paid for delivery and set up from Best Buy. We've already had to replace the washer once. The tub of the washer would bang against the side of the washer and eventually the top of the tub started to come apart. Also, the washer kept giving an error code that wasn't in the manual, and customer service couldn't figure out either. Geek Squad came out and requested a replacement washer. The new one arrived and was set up again by Best Buy. It has functioned, for the most part, with two big issues I dislike. Now that I've owned two of the washers, I can tell you that both of them were extremely loud! During each wash, there is a period of around 10-15 minutes where the noise is unbearable. Even with the laundry room door shut, both of the washers were loud. Also, both washers are big enough to fit comforters, bedspreads, and sheets. But if you put more than one blanket in there it gets off balance and won't finish. I've tried to wash a bedspread and sheets together, that doesn't work. I've tried to wash a bedspread and a blanket, that doesn't work either. Mind you, there is plenty of room in there to fit more than that, but it always gets off balance with blankets. I've had to re balance every time we wash blankets together. What is the point of having all of that room without being able to use it? So, it is loud and gets off balance with blankets. I would go with a different brand of washer. I sincerely regret buying this washer. The dryer works great.
