Samsung has terrible customer service

Less than two months after I purchased it, a minor defect appeared on the screen. Ultimately I had to take two days off of work because Samsung customer service is not empowered to send complete replacements, and they sent their first service tech without the necessary parts. This is after having assured me that the technician would have a complete TV replacement with him if in case my unit could not be fixed.

It is 2018; however this TV is from 2017. In comparison to the Samsung 40" I purchased in 2010 I don't see all that much difference in the picture. I would suggested someone wait until the next group of TVs are out.

Both were 3D TV's and lasted 4 years 11 months. Decided to try Samsung. The picture quality is not the same. there is a lot more gray in it. The remote is more like the fire TV remote takes some getting use to. I am still learning it. The 4K is good.

And indeed their measurements were spot on. No need to return and start again.

Our goal was to get a larger flat screen that had the proper specs for a gamer and tv/movie watcher. This tv is the one. It has the proper features, refresh rate, etc. We are very happy with it.

I am sorry to see that you are not happy with its motion image performance.
Have you tried adjusting Auto Motion Plus? It is a feature designed to eliminate blur and judder on an LED TV, specifically in fast moving images. It does so by taking a 30 fps signal and adds in additional frames to help smooth out any blur or judder between frames, called interpolation.
Here is the step-by-step guide to change Auto Motion Plus settings:
With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen> Select Settings>.Select Picture > Select Expert Settings> Select Auto Motion Plus.
(Note: This option may not be visible initially. Continue scrolling through the Expert Settings Menu to locate Auto Motion Plus)
>Select Auto Motion Plus again, and you will see the following three options:
◦Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off.
◦Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched.
◦Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used.
By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings:
- Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting.
- Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
- LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off.
