||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This particular Samsung model use LCD VA (vertical alignment of cristals) which is different then ie in SONY which uses IPS (in-line-switching) where cristals are aligned horizontally. This kind of screen has very high contrast rate >3000 (which is a plus) and is much better suited for dark rooms. However, white color has distinctive "bluish" tint to it. For me it was not acceptable as all colors appear "washed-out" to my eye.

It broke less than a month after we bought it. The screen went black and would not turn back on. So far, dealing with Samsung's customer service and repair service has been a nightmare. It's been over 2 weeks and a repair person has still not been out to try and fix it. I had an appointment with them and they never showed. I called probably 20 times until someone finally returned my call and then blamed me for not making the appointment correctly. We have been very disappointed and feel let down by a company that is supposed to produce good products.
