Excellent 4k TV for the price, FAST!

I was a little apprehensive to buy this television at first, reading negative reviews about Netflix not working and usb drives not getting recognized. But I picked it up anyway, figuring I would just return it if these issues still persisted. They did not. Whatever Samsung did in the past month or so since most of these reviews were written worked like a charm. I took it out of the box, plugged it into the wall, it picked up my wifi network and I spent the night watching 4k videos on youtube and Netflix. As the owner of a 55" 3d smart led tv a few years older, I was quite impressed at how FAST the new processor is in this tv. My old Samsung had internet, and even a special remote with a keyboard on the back, but it was DIRT SLOW. This one loads pages and movies right on up like nothing. My only complaint as of yet is that the remote... is Cheap. Whatever though, as this is a cheap tv, and I can always buy my own backlit remote when this one inevitably has its flimsy battery cover break (I'll give it a week or two)

    Get a Samsung

Purchased the LG LF5400 49" 3d LED from sam's club for $399. I mainly watch sports and the first football game I turned on I saw 2 footballs flying out of Peyton Manning's hand. Needless to say I was disappointed and returned the TV. I knew I would have to step up to UHD to at least get 240mhz processing (I was replacing a 600mhz samsung plasma), So I got this Samsung UHD and was very happy with the picture from the moment I turned it on for MNF... it really made the orange "more orange" while watching the Browns. Excellent Cyber Monday deal for $599

I've owned Samsung TV's for over 15 years and they never fail to impress. This tv looks fantastic and is very easy to set up. Picture quality is amazing and at this price (549.99), it's a steal.

If you are looking for a TV with picture quality and under a $1,000. You will not find a better one then this Samsung. The 4K is absolutely worth your money. I am not one that cares about the smart features, that would be just a bonus to me. When you purchase a Television, I thought that's what it was for. If you read all the one star comments you will find that most all of them are about the app issues. That is the least of my worries, should be everyone else's when purchasing a TV. It just seems lazy and ridiculous to me. Sorry, final thought. YOU WILL BE 100% SATIDFIED IF YOU PURCHASE THIS TV!!!!

I've had great experience with Samsung TVs and this one is no exception. Some of the reviews noted issues but I plugged in the TV and updated the system software first thing. The apps I use (Netflix and Amazon) worked great right from the start and the picture is incredible.

I returned the Samsung 47" model UN48J5200 that was on sale for 599.00 the week of 2/21/16 due to the smart hub kicking me off and on. I went and purchased the Samsung UN48JU6400. This TV is awesome with such a great picture and the smart hub works perfectly. The depth of this TV makes you feel like your right in the action. You cant go wrong here!!!

Originally was going to buy Samsung but got LG 43" 4K instead. Picture is not that good, couldn't stand the pixelation and dull colors. Return the LG and got this Samsung. It's way better. Colors are more vibrant. HD picture from over the air signal looks clear, crisp as it should be. It's not top of the line but You can't get any better quality for the price. After all you get what you pay for.

I wanted a 4K tv as soon as I walked into best buy and seen the pixel action. However the price wasn't affordable at 1000+$. A couple of months ago it was on sale for around 650$. I didn't even hesitate and made the purchase! It was very easy to use. I love the apps on it as well. My wife and I couldn't see ourselves with out our "48 samsung 4K U HD!

This television offers everything I could ask for...It has an excellent picture, good audio quality, decent remote and an enviable price at 599.00. I've been tickled pink with it. My only complaint is that it's too big for my living room cabinet, where I would prefer it to be as my main TV.

Overall the tv is good for the money. But there is an issue connecting with Netflix. I contacted Netflix, Samsung and Geek Squad to help with the issue. Found out that there is a bulletin out for it but no timetable on when it will be resolved. So this is going back to the store. This tv had the most up to date firmware and Netflix app as well. And Netflix was working on all of my other devices (tv, phone, tablet, laptop). Besides the Netflix communication issue, it is a good tv. Got it for gaming and everything looks like it should. The movies that I did watch on it looked sharp and sounded well with the speakers. With just about all tvs, the setup was very easy.

      BigTyme21,

We regret that you had this experience with your UN48JU6400 television. The firmware update (v.1107.9) should have resolved any issues with Netflix, and we sincerely apologize for the delay at the time it was launched, and any inconvenience this caused you.

We realize this was not ideal, and we value the fact that you chose us as your first option. We hope we can earn your business in the future.

      Best to you,

      Mr. S Samsung

    Fair TV

This TV is “Fair” at best. When you purchase a 4K television you should expect the best but this TV just does not deliver. The problem is motion rate of only 120. Because the motion rate is low this TV blurs when there is movement. You will need to upgrade to a TV with a motion rate of 240 to fix this. The Samsung UN48JS8500FXZA has this but it costs $1799 when not on sale. I am returning this TV and buying the better one.

Not good for only 1080p if you care about motion

I bought this tv after reading so many great customer reviews that said there was nothing wrong and it's totally awesome. Unfortunately I do not share their same feelings. If you are a person that is going to watch sports or play video games or something like that, I would not buy a 4K tv yet. The motion on the tv in 1080p has a lot of artifacturing, which is kinda like motion blur if you don't know what I meant. If you're looking at 4K tvs in store, ask them to turn the channel to a channel with sports on it (or go to the magnolia room where they should be able to). Everything else on the tv is fine, but the artifacturing really bugs me. I'll probably end up returning it for a tv that's 1080p, 120hz

I have only owned Samsung tvs and this is the first Samsung tv that I have purchased that does not have Bluetooth. This does not link up with my Samsung soundbar (Bluetooth- no cords) and I find it very frustrating. Had I known this tv did not have Bluetooth I would not have purchased it; but it is my fault for assuming it did. Other than that the tv is great. But I give it a 1 because I have a $200 Samsung soundbar with subwoofer that cannot be used with this tv. Please correct me if I'm wrong but this tv has wifi not Bluetooth. If anyone has suggestions on how I can connect the Bluetooth soundbar to a tv that does not have Bluetooth that would be greatly appreciated.
