High efficiency is right
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe it's because I'm coming from a low efficiency top load agitator model but this washing machine is amazing. It's quiet, smart, efficient and fast. I love how quickly my clothes dry after a wash in this machine. There's always good sales too. Would recommend.

Great Washer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washer is easy to use, customizable, and quiet. It also does a great job wringing out most of the water for faster drying.

Stay away from this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer lasted me less than three years. Now it leaves my clothes drenched and the dryer cannot dry them anymore. There is water left in the washer that needs to be drained every time. Adding clothes later is a convenience, but we used it may be five times in the last three years

Highly Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first pair of Samsung washer/dryers after having Kenmore all of my life. I am familiar with HE, front loaders, etc. Having a nicer laundry room when we moved, we upgraded to these for larger capacity. Now, having them for 18 mos., I wish I could go back. I did my homework and had good reviews but this washer just isn't great. I've already had the struts and shocks replace with another service call tomorrow to check on a leak. This washer also, switches over to self-clean operation on it's own. It's happened way too many times for it to be operator error. I am really disappointed with this washer for the money we spent.

Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks good, works great. I have the large capacity washer and dryer, and it is the best decision I've made regarding washers and dryers. The folks at Best Buy were amazing every step of the way.

Worst washer ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer 14 months ago... today I had to request service because is not working. And now is out of warranty!!! On top of that the washer door rubber is impossible to get it dry or clean... it builds mold and creates an awful odor... so now I have to remove the clothe right away afer the cycle ends becuasr if no the clothe will smell horribly. I hate this washer... it is fairly new abd I paid a lot of money for it. Service is also terrible had to wait 5 days to get a technician to come and check it.

Worked fine till the warranty was over
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washing machine worked fine for about the first year and a half. Shortly after the spin cycle would get violently loud, to the point where it was painful to be near it. Over time it continued to get worse and now it just never enters the spin cycle. It finishes rinsing, starts to drain, make 3-4 slow rotations and stops. Then repeats this endlessly. Time remaining is stuck somewhere between 2 minutes and 8 minutes each time. Pausing it returns it back to the end of the rinse cycle (8-12 minutes remaining). Have also experienced issues with a fridge purchased from Samsung as well. Never purchasing a Samsung product again. Would highly recommend avoiding.

Do NOT buy this machine, it will not last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I won't go into too much detail as to how this happened, but I've had FIVE of these machines in the last three years. First three machines were built better, washed better (when they worked). First two machines had a rattle on the recirculation pump and were returned, which I later found out later was normal, so I ended up with #3. I had the stator replaced on #3 at 1.5 years because the machine was taking extended time to balance itself to allow the high speed spin to happen (this fix took take care of the issue). A year later it was not balancing very well again when trying to ramp up to spin, so we had the stator replaced AGAIN and well as new shocks. Well after it was ‘fixed’ it would not work, I had clanging/banging each time the drum changed direction and on one load we heard parts tumbling in the drum. Tech could not find the issue after three repair attempts so the machine was inoperable, left me for a week and a half w/o a washer until I could get a new one. Recent version of this machine (#4 and #5 in the last three months) are cheaply made and the suspension/balancing systems are very, very noisy. There is lots of creaking/groaning suspension noises during initial tumbling to balance the load after draining out water - and prior to trying to spin out. Again, the noises are happening before the machine truly starts to ramp up to spin speed where you will expect to hear some normal thumping as it spins up and then it should just hum along when up to speed. The old versions were very quiet, no creaking/groaning sounds at all during any part of the cycle. One washer (#4) was installed incorrectly, and that allowed the frame to be cracked when the washer raised up off the pedestal during a spin of heavy wet blankets. The replacement washer out of the box (#5) only had ONE spin speed, it would not adjust to low-med-high etc. when selected on the panel, and it had a horrible vibration during the high speed spin, a "WOOM WOOM WOOM" about every third time, and rumbled through the whole house. Versions from about three years ago were just a lot quieter, and seemed to be built better. AND - regardless of the build date - if your load is not 'perfect' (meaning the clothes are very well distributed) the sensor will not allow it to spin out between the wash and rinse cycles - it will try for a while and then just start on the rinse cycle. It will always spin out after the rinse cycle is done. This mainly happens when washing bedding/blankets where it just decides not to spin but I have had it happen on normal loads. And the stupid thing won’t tell you if it doesn’t spin between wash and rinse. This probably would not bother most people but you are not getting as much soap out of your items if they tumble in soapy water then simply tumble in rinse water without the spin. Will all machines have this issue occasionally where they are too unbalance to spin? Absolutely, but it is chronic with this machine and I bet most people do not even notice when it happens. I swear I have washing machine PTSD (I mean no offence to anyone that truly has PTSD) and have always had to watch this machine on pretty much every load. Does this machine clean clothes well? ABSOLUTELY when it works (and when it spins where it should). This is one of the only machines I found where during the wash and rinse cycle, soap and rinse water cascade down the inside of the door glass and on the rubber seal. This keeps the door and seal clean and I never have had to wipe them down and only have to leave the door open. Also is uses a good amount of water which is rare in front loader. ******Buy this at your own risk, you ‘may’ get lucky and get a good one but I don’t like your odds. PSA – Longevity expectation and recent cheapness applies to the matching drying– had a bad dryer out of the box too this last time. And the original dryer from three years ago had over 6 repairs for clanging, rollers squeaking, a door whistle (repairs were more than the price of the dryer by far). The newest dryer when it was humid out would have a roller seize up and you would hear grinding for five minutes until the roller ‘unstuck’ itself. Also it was loud – would rumble for a few minutes, be quiet, then rumble again (i could hear it running throughout the whole house). And do you like to wash your bedding? Be prepared to untangle your blanket and sheets every fifteen minutes so they will dry, as they will be in a burrito shape otherwise. Had a Whirlpool and a LG that did not do this, it’s a Samsung thing.

Do NOT Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased both the washer and dryer. The first day we used the washer it kept shutting off with an error code that said drum was off. The next several days included many error codes and repairs. After several weeks of similar issues they replaced the washing machine. 3 weeks later we have more error codes and the washer not working properly. The dryer was disappointing from the start. Seemed to not dry the clothes and gave us a dryer vent error code. We had the dryer vent cleaned and still have the error code. We had the dryer vent re-cleaned again. Still have the error code. Had a technician out who told us that the dryer is only drying at 50%. He had to order another part. It is a brand new machine and we demanded a new machine which they brought out to us. Today we have another error code on the washer the relates to the water supply. There is no problem with the water supply. We are demanding that Best Buy take both these machines out of our house and to never buy Samsung again. These are pieces of you know what. Spend your $2k elsewhere.

misrepresented feature
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want hot water, don't buy this washer. That was the main reason that I chose this model. It claims to have an "extra hot" water feature. The water only reaches 110 F and that is not hot enough to kill germs. I arranged for a service tech visit and the tech told me that the unit was functioning normally, and there wasn't anything to repair even though he never checked the actual water temperature. I called Samsung service department hoping that there was another solution and was told that the repair company did not find a problem so I was out of luck. They said that if I wanted to pursue the issue with another service visit, it would be at my expense, because it is not their problem. So I have an expensive washer that doesn't do what it claims to do and Samsung will not offer any further assistance. I will probably not buy any other Samsung product when I consider their recent track record of TV's, phones and top loading washers.

Too noisy and shakes a lot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have so many Samsung products that I should buy stock. The washer and dryer were purchased for our new house and I can honestly say the washer is the biggest disappointment, ever. It's sounds like battle worn washer that is unbalanced and the bearings are shot. Two service calls later they just dismiss it as typical of the machine and the pedestal just makes it worse. It's awful. We had a GE front loader for eight years and it was setup the same way. No issues and I regret leaving it in the old house. I can tell I will get no where on a warranty swap (bought the five year plan) and will either sell this or dump it. I still cannot believe the sounds and shaking (yes, we've run the calibration and checked the level) this machine makes are considered acceptable. Sorry, either replace it or fix it.

Smells!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn’t my first front loading washer so if I am doing something wrong please tell me. I have had it a little less than 12 hours now and it smells like mildew terribly. I have ran the self cleans and ran straight bleach through on hot. But my entire house still stinks like mildew.

Do not buy Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never buy a Samsung. I have 4 boys and need a working Washer/dryer. Samsung has been the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company. Their customer service is the worst. Their washer and dryer broke after a few months, I had it repaired and it broke again, I had it fixed again and it broke again. Samsung could care less. Buy a different brand please!! Do not buy Samsung!!
