Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of this washing machine and the size is massive. 5.0 cu ft is much bigger when the drum doesn't have the middle pole thingy as this is wide open drum design. All loads seem small lol But if a towel gets an air pocket, it can remain for much of the wash thus missing water/soap completely in that one spot. Yes, I stood there and watched the entire cycle. Now I make sure I push all of the clothes down to the bottom and start to try to eliminate air pockets. Also there's a button called Smart on this thing but it is not smart washer so don't be fooled. as far as getting my clothes clean, it does just what I expected and they come out well... Clean. Also the lid is not flat it is angled downward. probably so no one puts anything heavy on the glass lid but I used to use it for light items on my old one all the time and now that's not an option as they roll off. I love the soft clothing lid however! If you are a shorter person as my good friend and also as my mother (both are around 5 foot) They would not be able to get clothes out of this washer without a step stool. And I DO NOT have the storage base underneath. I'm 6'1" and I have to lean on the unit and bend deep down to grab clothes on the bottom. If you're shorter than me, I'd recommend the 3.5 cu ft version or another product. Also where you put the soap and fabric softener doesn't quite come out far enough so occasionally some of the soap misses and pours directly into the drum. But not a big deal.

The size allows us to do laundry less frequently.

I upgraded from an older model different brand and this one is amazing. It's digital so it gives a time for your load according to cycles,how many rinses and spins. The top is see through so I love that and it plays a song when your load is finished. All my clothes come out amazing and I even got out an old stain on a garment that didnt come out in my old washer. I'm loving it so far!

New vs old models

I would recommend keeping your items to a slightly smaller than large amounts. The only down I have (though I've heard that other new brands have this problem as well) is the time it takes to do a load as compared with my old machine.

The washer is junk

It started out good but now it’s always unbalanced on the spin cycle and gives an error code. It’s frustrating. Called customer support and they showed me how to calibrate it, but that doesn’t work the calibration is a three second process. I have to take some of my clothes out when the cycle gets close to the end just so maybe it can work sometimes The bad thing is I love Samsung products and everything I own is Samsung. I need to rethink this brand.

I love the ActiveJet water feature. I use the quick wash alot and add the deep fill feature. I don't have to wait forever for a load to wash. I Wish I could get the matching dryer. But my previous dryer still runs like a champ. This washer was a great buy!!
