I have had and loved my Samsung TVs and refrigerator for many many years so when it came time to replace my ancient washer I figured to give Sammy a shot. Not sure it was the correct choice. Note: some of these may be due to the learning curve with the new technology. A few issues: 1. Plastic/nylon water supply connectors. They work, but metal would have been more durable. 2. Water temp selection doesn't seem to allow warm wash/cold rinse. You can make changes to the default temp but looks like there is only one temp for the entire cycle. I need to research some more. 3. Balance issues... This is my biggest issue. Machine is level and even when clothes are carefully arranged they float up in the water and get rearranged to be out of balance. Different for different loads... Bad results on a small load of athletic gear... bad results with a load of sheets and work shirts... while a load of towels spun smooth like a turbine. It seems like this is going to require checking in real time for every load.... which is way more engagement that I expect when it comes to doing laundry. On the plus side I got this during a BB $210 off sale. But I probably should have read reviews from sites that don't sell these things and I am thinking I probably should have got another Whirlpool like my old one. YMMV...

I came here to say, don’t buy this machine!! I have always had old machines, but got tired of things going wrong so I decided to splurge with a brand new unit. Little did I know it would ruin my life. This machine has so many problems. Less than a year in, we had to have someone out because the sensor on the load wasn’t working. Even though you have a huge tub, if you fill it over half full, it messes up and goes off balance. I have to remove everything, soaked, to fix it. The worst part is, though, it leaves stains on EVERYTHING. Like grease stains. I’ve changed detergents, I’ve ran cleaning cycles. It’s done this since day one. I tried contacting Samsung again, but they just said they’d give me a number yo a local repairman. Total trash.

This washer broke after about 3.5 years of use. In that time i had it serviced a total of 3 times for different reasons. I loved the way it looked but not the way it functioned. It is a decent size capacity however if you utilize it it will stop due being overloaded so it might as well been a 3 cubic foot washer.

PROS: Extra deep bin for large loads. Quiet. Easy to program and set a wash. (My old GE was not nearly as intuitive). I got it in black and it's very pretty. CONS: The active wash tray is big and bulky and I hit my head on it when I have to reach in to empty my clean clothes. Also tricky to load your detergent because the plastic active wash tray hinders access to the detergent/fabric softener tray. Why can't the clip hinges be easy to undo so you can remove the plastic active wash tray when not needed? Hello! This would be an easy design fix. Because the bin is so deep, you may need a stool to reach the bottom. Also - pay attention to the height of this machine. I did not - and now the top lid bangs my cabinet above (where I keep my supplies) every time I open it. You will need 60" of clearance. I'm so worried I'm going to crack the glass top! OK, I'm heading to my laundry room to try (once more) to get that pesky active wash tray off...if you have had success doing so, please let me know. The left hinge simply won't budge.

Awesome Washer! Love the way it cleans, love the top wash. It's a little deeper than needed. Sometime I need tongs to reach in and grab socks. But I'd rather have the big drum space! Love it.

This washer cleaned fine, I guess, and the little wash station on the inside was a neat feature to rinse detergent cups out with. It lasted 3 years, so you get what you pay for! Big drum was nice if you put heavy stuff at the bottom. Good enough for comforters. It started to spin water out of the drum (leaked from the top of the unit!) And 1 year warranty with no parts or diagrams really available. Bought a Speed Queen to replace it.

larger than thought it would be (wife can't reach the bottom without help) but appears to work great, nice looking, quiet, good price. very satisfied.

This washing machine lasted all but 4 years. Apparently the 2 PCBs are burned and the repair man is estimating around $650.00 to fix it. Just ridiculous... This is not what consumers should be experiencing. 4 years of MTBF (mean-time between failure) expectancy says very little about the quality of this product.

My wife loves this washer. It was easy to program and run a test wash. We recommend this Samsung washer

This is the worst purchase I have ever made! It rarely works the first time I attempt to start it. I have to try at least three times before getting it to start. About 50% of the time I just have to walk away and come back, and still it fails to start correctly the first time. It's just awful! The bottom of the line Whirlpool I had in college worked far better.

I have had no problems with this purchase since I have owned it.

Love this product powerful yet quiet and easy handling

I have had two Samsung Washers. The first got recalled and I replaced with a second which less than a year later broke and was determined to be unrepairable due to a broken clutch gear which is made of plastic. This gear is what moves the drum and takes all the stress during washing and they make it out of plastic. According to the repair people this gear is what is used on Samsung washers. Buyer beware. Check out consumer reports before you by Samsung and you will see the poor repair record. I am getting my money back and am never buying another Samsung product in my life.

Purchased a Samsung washer in late 2018, and now in 2019, the door won't open, powers on, gives an error code and powers off. Tried several things with the tech support staff (resets, code resets, power, ext) I called on a Monday and they scheduled a week later on Wed, almost 10 days later. i said that is too long but they said that's their process. Then on Wed morning, said a tech would be coming, an hour later, get a call saying not until Friday. They asked if that was okay, I said no, they said too bad. The only time I would purchase a Samsung washer is if I had to buy one for someone I didn't like so they could experience the terrible product and service that comes with it.

We have had the active wash machine for 3 years and we are on our 3rd lid which is also broken. The 1st lid was covered by samsung, the 2nd lid they covered the parts but not the $200 service 15 minute installation. Our third lid cost us over $200 in parts and $200 in service. So we are currently a little over $600 exttra into this $750 3 year old wash machine. The quality of the lid is poor and I believe its not made to sustain the heat from the water. The plastic shatters in the left corner hinge after just a few months. Samsung refuses to see this as an issue (even though the new models have changed that portion of lid).

In the five years I had this Washing machine , geek squad had to come out at least 10-15 times to repair it. The lid broke twice and finally the entire lids snapped off. The machine was always going off balance and the gears wore down. The drum would rub against the sides and was really loud.... The machine even turned itself off several times. All I can say id Tha nkGod I purchased the Geek Squad

We purchased WA56H900A top load one year ago. I love it except when the load is unbalanced the hose will disconnect from the underside of the drum and the water drains on the floor (not the same hose that drains into the sink). This has happened 5 times. Samsung installed an after-market fix that did NOT solve the problem. When I contacted Samsung after the 3rd time they refused to send someone to reattach the hose even though it was less than 2 months old. This is the worst appliance purchase ever for us.

Washer quit and bought the warranty but will spend about $500 at the laundry mat while it takes them 3+ weeks to repair it. Very active household of 5 and running to the laundry mat twice a week. Parts and service is free but takes FOREVER!!!
