I have had a front load washer for years now and was hesitant to go back to a top load. Boy am I glad I did! It's bigger and does a better job washing clothes. My king size comforter washes up nicely! So happy with this washer

This Samsung washer is astoundingly quieter than the new Whirlpool. The drawer for fabric softener and detergent also is very convenient to have the right liquid at the right time. The washboard sink at the top is handy for breaking up gunk on clothes, and may be helping with the sound. Also, the water faucet button is located on the front, so it is easy to press when the door is open (I've seen other models where the button is nonsensically located on the panel which would be blocked if the door is open). Very quiet and we are very happy with this model.

It would lock up and become non-functional, but then start working again for no apparent reason until it finally stopped working for good in November and needed repair. We called Samsung service and were told the service center would be out in 3 days, but they called and postponed the service appointment for another 3 days. Two hours before the rescheduled appointment, the service center calls to postpone again, saying they won’t be able to come for another 5 days. I’m not sure how Samsung can justify allowing customers to be without a major appliance for almost 2 weeks. The washer did a great job of cleaning our clothes (when it actually worked), but I cannot recommend it due to Samsung’s horrendous service.
