Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the ease of use, cooking performance, and convection features of the 5.8 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Slide-In Gas Convection Range. Many appreciate the multiple burner sizes and the aesthetically pleasing design. However, some users note that the stainless steel surface is prone to scratches and fingerprints, requiring more diligent cleaning. Concerns were also raised regarding the durability of certain components, such as the knobs.

Good range for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are plusses and minuses to any range. I am not a professional chef, but am an avid home cook with lots of cooking and baking experience. We have a second home where I busted out for a dual fuel range (GE cafe series), which also has it's benefits and drawbacks, so I will compare some of those. I will say if you are a serious baker, consider spending more for a dual fuel range with an electric convection oven. I have a second electric convection wall oven that I love (an old Frigidaire Gallery). I find my wall oven to be superior even to the electric oven in my dual fuel range. I find myself baking less as my age and waistline advance. I rarely bake cakes, mostly cookies, so the gas oven is fine for me at this point. Because I am using it less and less, I am considering getting rid of my beloved wall oven to capture more storage space, so the split rack in this oven was attractive and will be useful to me. So far, the oven has functioned properly, baked evenly, and the temperature seems to be accurate and consistent. I do find the noise of the cool down fan not to be too loud. In fact, it is far more quiet than my GE. As for the range, my GE dual fuel has excellent power burners, almost too powerful for the home cook. I have to be very careful about temperature control with the largest burner. This is where the biggest advantage of the Samsung comes into play. I can control the burner output completely myself. My GE does not allow that. When you turn the knob to certain points it automatically adjusts to a certain heat level. I want to control it manually myself at all levels which the Samsung allows. The drawback to the range top is that the middle burner is not very useful. Unless I got the wrong part, the grill/griddle piece that is supposed to fit in the middle is useless. On most models, you remove the grate and fit the griddle in it's place. This one is too long and does not fit in that position forcing you to place it on top of the grate. The burner is not powerful enough to heat it well in this position. If I had a large oval pot, I might use the middle burner but I don't, so at this point this renders it a 4 burner cooktop for me rather than a 5 burner. My other big reservation in buying this range was the stainless steel cooktop. It requires constant cleaning. I will be happy when stainless ranges with black cooktop surfaces become more readily available from more manufacturers. The black stainless option would not have gone with my other appliances. Anyone who is a serious cook gets stuff on the surface of their cooktop. I clean regularly, but I'd like to not have to do it every single time I use my range.

Awesome gas stove
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this gas range, especially the griddle on top. It cooks delicious pancakes and heats evenly. It’s very easy to clean and the warming drawer at the bottom is a nice bonus. The only negative I have is that it puts out a lot of heat. My kitchen gets pretty warm, but I believe most gas ranges do that. I would still give this range an excellent review.

Now we're cooking with gas!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After years of cooking on an electric glass-top range, I didn't want our first step into a gas range to be a problematic experience. The unit provides every indication of quality design and manufacturing. The keypad controls are well laid out and context relevant and the dials/knobs are well done as well. We anticipated a reduced level of temperature control in the oven (historically, a realm we thought electric ovens had the upper hand) - that concern was not borne out. The oven appears to heat very evenly and controls temperature well. So far every experience with this Samsung Range has been exemplary. The final seal of approval, my wife, the real chef in the family (by comparison I am a hack in the kitchen) is delighted with the range. Game, set, and match! Well done!

Excellent product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am proud to say that I own this beautiful specimen. It has excellent features that I use often, and I must say that this purchase was a great choice. One of the best features is the convection oven, the fact that each eye has different sizes to determine what or how large of a pot or power you may need to cook an item it's truly a great purchase!

Samsung range does not disappoint
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This really is an impressive range from Samsung. The burners heat evenly and smooth operating knobs allow precise flame levels. The oven is also ideal for all types of food prep due to the even convection heating. The digital touchscreen is a nice cherry on top of the sleek overall design.

Better then expected greT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great range. The build quality and the stainless steel is far better then anything in it’s price range. The oven temperature is extremely accurate and the removable griddle & wok are very useful as is the warming drawer. Well worth a closer look if your in the market for a high quality range at a very reasonable price.

Picky cooks & bakers
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SO happy with this range! Have had it for a year, and put it to the test a lot. The oven gas a huge capacity and fits a turkey roaster, 7 qt oval cocotte, and two 13x9 pans at the same time!! Seems very efficient on gas use. We actually have it hooked to propane with the conversion kit it came with. Convection works awesome, which people find surprising about gas. Only two complaints after a year of use. We wish the middle burner would heat the griddle faster (but glad it it came with one!) The second thing is that the oven door has a streak/drip running between the glass. Need to figure out if that comes apart to clean it. We thought we would use the warming drawer a lot, but we actually barely use it...maybe we just need to remember we have it. Highly recommend this range if you love to cook & bake!!

Great features and performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking oven that performs well. Burner variety is nice, griddle feature is superb. Oven performs well, but tends to take a little longer than recipes call for. Stainless steel shows every little finger print and grease smudge, so cleaning to keep looking nice will be a commitment.

A cook's range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the 5 burner feature of the stove. I do wish the middle griddle/ grill burner burned hotter for better grilling. The oven is awesome. I love the digital controls and the number of settings available. The controls are easy enough to figure out. I like the shiny stainless top for it's looks, but it hides nothing. Immediate clean up is a must of you like a tidy kitchen.

Superior quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very impressed with the solid build of this range and its ease of use. The oven cooks evenly and I'm amazed how I lived with an electric one for so long. The controls are easy to use and it's super easy to wipe clean.

DIES A SLOW RUSTY DEATH
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this range for about 5 years. For the first two, I absolutely loved it. Heated up quickly, even cook. Then the meat thermometer feature broke. Not a big deal, as we rarely used it. Next, we started to notice rust on the bottom of the stainless steel plates that go over the flames. They were completely rusted within 3 years. A call to Samsung offered no explanation and directed us only to go purchase new ones at over $50 as pop. Most recently, the oven portion of the range broke, forcing us to call an in home repair guy. Turns out the ignitor broke, which cost us over $250. It is ridiculous that an appliance costing around $1500 cannot last more than 5 years without not only rusting but needing $$ put into it. I really thought Samsung made higher quality appliances. If you are going to spend this kind of $$ on a range, stay away from Samsung.

Good BTU but noisy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Burners have great BTU, however noisy like flame thrower. Oven comes to temp quickly, trade off heats up kitchen unlike prior stoves. LED in oven really show you what's inside, so no need to open during bake, big plus. Oven shelves are bit finicky to remove, so don't recommend trying to do after oven has been heated. Stainless steel top and fully removable burners make cleaning up a breeze. Downside to grates, non continuous cross pattern over center of burners leaves smaller pots/pans wobbly. Overall, oven is good; other reviews support that, these are just the items which are annoying when using that you don't see when sitting on show room floor.

Great Oven
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This oven looks wonderful in our kitchen, works great and does everything! My only criticism is the chrome top. It scratches VERY easily. It's very difficult to clean and keep clean. I wish the metal wasn't brushed, and/or they had put a enamel black coating on the very top to keep it looking clean and scratch free.

Great stove!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All the reviews I read were spot on. The gas cooktop is super efficient, so much hotter than my old one that I have to use a lower level of heat when I cook. Haven't used the oven much yet, but it is huge! Lots of room for a turkey and a couple of sides too. Super easy to connect to the gas line, but did need a new one as the fittings have gotten larger on the pipe end of the hose. Also like the lip that fits over the countertop which eliminates a gap where food may fall. Overall, really glad I bought this model.
