My wife and I are thrilled with this tv. Picture is incredible, easy to hook up and use. Only thing that has me stymied is info on how to connect the remote to the AT&T cable box. Can't find any instructions in manual or online. Other than that, hooked up TV to a Bose Home Stereo, love it!

    Better than Sony

I originally bought the Sony XBR49X830C to fit a bookcase. It had a decent picture straight on but the glare mad it unwatchable from my wife's seating position. The Samsung had less glare and a brighter picture. It was much easier to connect to my wifi and set up my Sennheiser headphones.

Buying a TV just isn't what it use to be. it use to be go to the store, find the TV (because they were all mostly the same) buy it, enjoy it, and pray it just turned on out of the box because it was too heavy to take back. those days are long gone. nowadays, I literally spent the past 2 months researching TV's daily on the internet because each one is just a little bit different from the next. unless you want to spend $2k and up your going to have to compromise on something. so we have a 50 inch samsung JS7000. i have at home a 8500 series and 9000 series samsung. so i know what a top tier TV is. this is not a top tier TV. it's samsung's entry level JS series and they really mean entry level. First impressions - i recently had a 50inch Vizio Mseries. it worked fine it had its small issues but ultimately i returned it. I needed something to go in my study for solely PS4 gaming and some movie streaming. for a TV under $1k good luck finding one that is good for both. you'll get one that preforms one of those really well. the Vizio was tops for movies but produced some motion blur on gaming. This JS7000 is tops with gaming but produces judder with movies. hmm. the good - it looks really good, im talking about the color and 4K picture. colors really pop and i think that is what people are reviewing on. after reading most of the reviews on here it really swayed my decision. i mean this TV has gotten really good reviews. so i really thought it was a decent TV. maybe it is.. 4K streaming is incredible. what they say it true. it crushed the Vizio's M series in 4K streaming. seriously great picture. Gaming (turn on game mode) is tops too. it rivals the 8500 series in response time. but thats about it. the bad - right out of the box the TV had troubles updating smarthub. super fast wifi connection everything tested ok but the smart apps test failed and failed and failed. reset, turned off, etc. the blacks on the screen were horrendous. from right to left the it went from grey to black. i was a little confused. a day later the apps slowly started working and the blacks have oddly gotten much better. maybe this TV was just shy out of the box and needed some time to warm up to its new surroundings? i dont know. watching movies is a little confusing as i can't tell if i hate it or its acceptable. the judder is there.. can tweaking get rid of it? no. can i not watch movies on it? perhaps.. smart hub not that smart. they use a different smart hub in higher model series. think totally entry level TV. and its impressive samsung pushes ad's on screen whenever it can. fact of life. Menu's are blah, usable but nothing to get excited about. and stand feels cheap. you know, on sale for $799 its decent IF you just game on it. but at $1099 I'd stay far away from it. it's working somewhat ok. its unclear if i'll return it as i will work it very hard in the coming weeks. this TV is basically really good at streaming 4K and gaming. movie watching and night time viewing it falls short of so many other "smart"TV's. would i recommend it? probably not.

As the lowest cost model of the Samsung JS series it is a great value. My only concern before purchasing was the refresh rate (60 Hz/motion rate 120). However, I do not notice any motion blur when watching fast action sporting events.

I researched this set for some time and could not find a better one for the price. Great 4K picture with super deep color. Samsung is the best and this SUHD proves it. Smart tv makes it that much better.

Bought this Samsung Tv last Sunday. I can't believe the colors and how clear the picture is and that's just using over the air Tv antenna. Also streams Hulu and Netflix with no problem.

We are so awed by the picture. The upscaling makes 1080 look fantastic. It's so worth it just for that. The price is fair too. You tube has great 4k stuff.

I was in need of a new TV for our bedroom. Previously we had a 40' Toshiba and it ok but wanted a Smart TV. After researching and looking at the reviews online. This was the TV to go, purchased it on sale for $799 and the set up was easy to install. My new PS4 the graphics are just out of this world. If your looking for a Smart 4K TV. Samsung is the way to go and this is your TV. Get it! Don't hesitate.

I did a TON of research prior to purchase. As an early adopter of tech. this is THE 4K TV that I'd recommend you buy. The color/clarity is incredible, has all the apps you need/want (except Spotify, as of 1/3/2016), and is wicked fast. You can Skype family with webcam, and stream your own media to the TV from your smartphone super easily.

I couldn't be happier. I'm a Samsung lover. I have several Samsung products several being LCD, Plasma and no this TV. Picture is awesome. I tweaked some setting to my preference, but that's it. Tried to cast my phone to the TV which didn't end well, but I need to read up on that as I just ran with trial and error.

Nice upgrade from plasma, minor annoyances

Picture quality compared to an old Panasonic plasma is excellent. Not too crazy about the remote and general operating procedures, but I'll get used to it. Dust cover on the optical jack broke off the first time I removed the plug -- a common problem, apparently -- but I may be able to replace the OEM jack with another brand without the dust cover. (The dust cover is required to hold the plug firmly in place -- a really bad design.) I mounted it on the wall with a swiveling mount, having heard bad reviews of off-axis viewing, but that wasn't really necessary in our case, where we routinely view it over 45° off axis from about 20' away with no problem. A little disappointed in the black levels. Very disappointed that it's now $200 cheaper than when I bought it, but that's life. Disappointed with the documentation, both supplied and not supplied. Should be a way to customize the all-purpose on-line documentation to my specific model and location.

    Looks and sounds great

So far, so good - just had it delivered last weekend. Picture quality looks great and sounds great too. A couple of my favorite things about this TV is the ability to pair my Bluetooth headset to it and have the audio play only in my headset (there's also an option to have it play through speakers AND through Bluetooth as well). Good for someone with hearing issues. The set up for that was easy, and switching that on/off is easy too. The other thing is the ability to tap into my home PC and stream movies from there (after downloading the Samsung SmartView app on my PC) . I have my DVD collection on my hard-drive, so this makes it easy to pull up a movie on my TV and just play it from there. My hesitation on 5-stars is due to a previous Samsung model crapping out on me after only 15-months. Out of manufacturer warranty, of course. Do yourself a favor and get the Geek Squad protection.

Picture quality is outstanding and the smart hub amenities are great. The nano-crystal technology brings the outdoor/nature scenes to a level that is as close to 3-D as you can get, without actually have the 3-D technology. Enjoying the built-in Wi-Fi system, but still trying to figure out how to stream live sporting events, because it tells me that my adobe flash player isn't compatible. Sounds like something the geek squad can help with.
