Can't get the tv to update
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't had a tv in 2 years so i decided to buy one that had the latest technology and was "smart". Well, I'm not sure these tv's are all that smart. As i scrolled through the menu getting to know the functionality of the tv, i noticed it needed a firmware update. I tried to and it kept failing or would say i had an unstable internet connection. I called samsung and I was on the phone with the for over an hour as they troubleshooted the tv. they said despite it saying my internet connection was unstable they were seeing a decent upload speed that was acceptable. They told me to return the tv! i called my internet provider and they also did not find any issues with my connection. I will be returning this although i tossed the box and i'm sure they will charge me for that too!. It sucks because i bought this on thanksgiving day when there were great deals so now i feel as though i have missed out because i bought a lemon TV. not happy at all!

Great out of the box, Not built to last..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung used to build quality tech products. Now their Tv's are like buying expensive junk.. My $1700, 51 inch Plasma TV was state of the art.....for 14 months. Then it was in a state of trash. The controller went and a wide strip appeared in down the middle of the screen. Price to repair $350.00. Internet was filled with similar stories. Samsung did nothing to help me. About 4 months later, the TV cycled on and off repeatedly during programs /movies /sports etc. Stay away from this overpriced lemon. Buyer beware!!!

TV arbitrarily turns off
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV started turning itself off after a couple of weeks. Verified all settings that could do this (eco, sleep) were off, so it's not a setting. Online research shows this is a known problem with Samsung and has been going on for years and across models. Will not buy another Samsung and would advise against purchase.
