I'm using a antenna for tv, not cable. Can not remove unwanted channels after scan for channels is performed? So when channel surfing, has to show unwanted channels.

Quick Service, excellent service rep, knows what he's talking about. Acceptable delivery and set up time. Had to call GEEK squad a second time to hook up sound bar and get TV and sound bar aligned.

This TV has its own voice system on the remote control which i like the most so I don't need to use Amazon fire stick for the sake of the voice.

the rating is not of the item, but of the service component. The TV arrived nicely packed and turned out to be a great addition to our household at a great price. With one exception. The item was an open box purchase, but it came it a flaw: an annoying line that indicated something was wrong in the picture. When I contacted someone (help online), I was told I had till mid January to return it. I want to exchange it at the local store, but I learned I would have to get an approval from the store to exchange the open box for a replacement at the same price. I've been trying in vain for the past three days to contact the store, which puts me on hold (I've waited up to half an hour, without success, listening to mind numbing Christmas music). I don't want to bring the set to the store and discover I need to pay extra to get what I thought I was purchasing, but only the store manager can make that decision. I suppose i'll have to venture to the store and see what I can negotiate. I'm sure the store is busy--but too busy to answer phones?

To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update. (ver. 1460.9 released on 12/7/20)
Both the current version and new version number will be displayed. The current version is what your TV is using, and the new version is the latest update.
New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.

The TV offers many nice features; however, the execution of implementing these features is less than mediocre. The voice assistant feature that is one of this model's key functions, does not work. It's not that it doesn't work well; it's that it just does not work at all. I have tried using both Bixby and Alexa as well as performing a factory reset, but the function still will not recognize voice input within the TV's ecosystem. The only instance it did recognize voice was during setup. Outside of that particular issue, I have had numerous app crashes and freezes. In addition to that, the system itself is extremely sluggish! Navigating the settings and other menus are painstakingly slow! I purchased this TV as a way to minimize the need to connect external devices as a way to supplement the need for streaming devices which has proven to be ineffective. I really wanted this to work out because, in theory, having a single remote that I could use for everything including navigating OTA networks was very appealing. Unfortunately, every aspect of the TV's features which were the sole reason for my purchasing this particular model has been a massive disappointment!
*Before I am told I need to update the firmware to resolve the issues I am experiencing I have repeatedly attempted to do so. I even went to the link provided by Samsung for available updates to this model TV, but this model does not even exist in the support section on Samsung's website!*

Thank you for your purchase and review. The interface issue you are describing may be related to your network connection and quality. We suggest you try the following: 1. Use 5G WiFi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there’s no obstacles between your TV and the router

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU8000 TV. I am very sorry that you are experiencing issues with your remote. There are a number of reasons why your remote may not be working as expected. The most common are physical damage, battery issues, or pairing issues. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps.
1) Reset the remote by removing the batteries & pressing Power for 8 seconds. Then reinsert the batteries.
2) Try to re-pair it with the TV. Press and hold Return and the button that is diagonally up and to the right of Return. (This is usually the button with 4 colored dots, but can vary depending on the remote). This will reset the smart remote.
Stand within 1 foot of the TV and press and hold Return and Play/Pause simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected.
If you continue to experience issues with your remote, contact our Support Center to request service.

I like the TV - it’s got a lot of nice features, but it doesn’t seem like it’s actually HD. The picture isn’t any better than my old TV, which was SD.
