      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU8000 TV. I am very sorry that you are experiencing issues turning your TV on. While you are waiting for Samsung Service, you may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:

      1) Make sure that the AC power cord is securely plugged in to the TV and the wall outlet.

      2) Make sure that the wall outlet is working and the power indicator at the bottom of the TV is lit and glowing a solid red. If it is off, the TV either does not have power, or it is on and the screen is black. If it is blinking, your TV may need service.

      3) Try pressing the TV Controller button at the bottom of the TV to make sure that the problem is not with the remote control.

      4) If the TV turns on, your issue may be with the remote control

      I am sorry that you are not completely happy with your TU8000 Crystal UHD Smart TV.

      You can try Natural or Movie Picture Mode, or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking.
      Go to Home> Settings> Picture> Expert Settings> Brightness

    Poor sound quality and a lot of Samsung apps popping up all the time as well as time consuming trying to get to the Bluetooth function because you have to go through a lot of crap, not simple at all.

    Worked great till it didn’t. Started power cycling and geek squad couldn’t fix it or exchange it because it’s discontinued. Good thing I had my protection plan and got a credit for the tv

    Bought this TV on June 9, 2020 for my bedroom and last night May 3, 2022 the TV completely died on us. It started with the green screen so I checked all the connections and everything was nice and secure. I unplugged the TV for about 1 min then plugged it back in. The green screen went away and the picture started to just go black and looked like the picture was smudged on the bottom of the TV. All you could hear was the sound. The menu bar also kept freezing up and the TV would continuoisly restart itself. Hopefuly Samsung or Best Buy can help me out with this issue.

    Didn’t last 2 years. One day just wouldn’t stay on then wouldn’t even turn on. Troubleshooted every which way. It had issues with sound bars too. Bunk. Got hosed.

    had for 2.5 yrs. and now it shuts down, black screen and then comes back on after 30 sec. and continues to do so. Called Samsung and not much help. Would not recommend.

    Great. The geek squad installer didn’t leave me the tv paperwork or manual. I called two days later, after figuring out he didn’t leave them, and was told that I was responsible to call Samsung to get a manual. I think this should be on you.

    This TV only lasted for 17 months (actually only 12 months since we spend the summer months up north). Will not turn on and can not be fixed.

    To be honest the tv is a good for the price but it literally lasted almost 2 years for me and I didn't even use it a lot. White lines started popping up at of nowhere

    It didn't even last for two years. First, the TV became very slow and it took some time to get ready after turning on. Then it froze for few times. Now it won't turn on at all.

    At first I was happy with my purchase. Then I found that the internet either WiFi or by ethernet gets disconnected after a couple of hours of turning off the TV. I thought it was only me at the beginning but I've read thousands of reviews and it happens to other customers. If you are aware of the issue you shouldn't be selling defective items. If you are not aware then you need a better quality department.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU8000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry you are experiencing connection issues. A new firmware update has recently been released which may help improve your connection. (1460.9 released on 12/7/20)

      Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically.

      You may also want to enable automatic updates for future convenience.
      Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

    I purchased this Samsung during the pandemic 12/20 and it is already dead. Black screen and then turns off and on for no reason. I am not touching the remote. I am a single person and have no children and I am extremely active and no gaming. . Meaning I don’t watch lots of TV and this TV didn’t get heavy usage. So why this TV only lasted 1.5 years not even a full 2 years. What a piece of crap. I will not purchase Samsung TVs anymore. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

    Make sure you buy geek squad warranty

    There is a known issue with the panel which causes the TV to cycle on and off. If you decide to get this TV you definitely need to get the geek squad warranty because the panel costs the same amount as the TV. If the panel stops working after the manufacturer warranty expires and you don't have the geek squad warranty you will have to purchase the new panel or a brand new TV. My panel stop working 11 months after I bought the TV. Samsung's customer service is harder to deal with than geek squad.

    Lasted only 2 and a half years. Attempted to turn it on and got about 2 inches of picture at top then unit kept turning itself off and back on.

    Terrible Samsung Support for Warranty Work

    This TV is having picture issues in the first 7 months of use. The screen randomly goes from normal brightness to very dark. Initially could at times get it to correct by tapping the back of the unit (resolution now remains very dark and it’s unusable). It should be under warranty and Samsung is giving me the run-around on getting that service scheduled/completed. It hasn’t been a reliable product and is not worth the hassle of the awful Samsung warranty process and lack of customer care. I do not recommend this product.
