Perfect picture and attractive tv set - great machine

I have had this TV for a few tears now and love it. Beautiful picture and great sound.

The picture quality is nice i just wish that the sound was better I find myself turning the tv up extremely high just to hear what's going on the tv. Also the remote is a neat design but I dont like it. Im use to having numbers on my remote.

As usual, the awful Samsung software makes this thing an absolute pain to use. I have an HDMI cable running from it to my desk so I can connect my laptop when I want to push video to it. I connect it and do I see the output on the TV? Nope - I get about 30 seconds of a screen telling me it is detecting a device so I can control it with my 'smart remote'. Then it asks me if I want to "set it up". As if I could control my laptop with a TV remote control. So I have to hit Later. Then I finally see the output on the TV. I can add that HDMI input to the menu bar thing for quicker access and even name it. The input keyboard for naming it is another great example of how Samsung tries to be 'smart' and fails miserably. Whenever you hit a key, it will pop up guesses of what you want next, causing you to have to press an extra button to avoid their wrong guesses. Every single time. So, I fight though and name the port and add it to the bar. And this is all well and good. Until I disconnect the HDMI cable. The next time I connect it, it goes through this crap all over again. 30 second wait and prompt to detect something. And completely forget that you named the HDMI port and put a shortcut to it on the menu bar. All this thing needs to do is play video from the input I select. That's it. But no, TV's have to be 'smart' now and include all sorts of crap I don't want and actually prevent me from using them how I want. It would be one thing if I could disable all this crap or even ignore it, but it is actively getting in the way. I will never buy a Samsung TV again. I would encourage you to avoid them as well.

Bought this tv roughly 4 years ago. It was great while it lasted. Unfortunately the motherboard in the tv is going bad. Repairable but smarter to get a newer tv!

I purchased a 50" Samsung 8 series UHD Smart Tizen TV in 2021. Whatever you do, Do not buy these tv's. It fails before or after 2 years. It starts with horizontal lines on the top screen then it takes an hour to turn on then it will never turn on again. These tv's are clearly defective. I advise you to read reviews on samsung tv's they all say the same. Look at the low ratings, They will let you know the truth about this issue. There is nothing Samsung can do to help you so you will lose your tv and your money you spent for it. They offer you absolutely nothing. Consider another brand but after reading reviews I see similar issues too. Good luck. You've been warned. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again as their other products are trash too.

Great Tv for casual gaming and movies. Lasted just over 3 years before the led board died on me out of the blue wish it latest longer but was a budget buy

The TV worked perfectly until today. 4 years and it was perfect then one day out of nowhere, it stopped turning off.

Great tv. Picture was exceptional and the smart platform was easy to use. It does have a narrow viewing angle in a lit room. After two years the power board stopped working, so it does not have longevity. Price to repair estimated at $350.00, unless I try to do it myself.

It stopped working after 3 years. Keeps power cycling and does not open. 1 star for each year it worked.

This TV was a good TV. I bought it in 2020 and it last almost 4 years with absolutely no problems

Can’t say I know the average lifetime of tv’s but I can say I feel for almost $500 it should have lasted longer than 4 years. It not takes 15+ minutes to turn on with it flashing in and out, and now won’t turn on all together.

I bought 2 of these and they both stopped working after about 4 years. They just stopped coming on. On of them was barely used

Worked alright for three years, then started power cylcing endlessly one day kind of randomly. Was out of warranty and I talked to a repair shop who told me these panels are known to have an issue where a connection gets loose thats not fixable. Don't buy these.

I bought this back in 2020 and it worked great for years. After a little over 4 years the screen went out and my television won’t turn on anymore. Just a flickering black screen now :(
