I bought this back in 2020 and it worked great for years. After a little over 4 years the screen went out and my television won’t turn on anymore. Just a flickering black screen now :(

I purchased this tv in February 2021. After an automatic software update earlier this year (2024) the tv will not boot up consistently. When it does boot up the picture is still excellent but being unable to watch tv whenever I want make the tv useless. I found if I keep it unplugged and only plug it in then immediately turn it on works most of the time. I will never buy a quality samsung product again and whatever TV I purchase next will never be connected to the internet.

It worked great until yesterday. Seems that all TV's now a days only last 3 years. The problem is probably a short circuit in the LCD Panel which is causing the TV to shut off a minute after turning on. Good while it lasted. Wish it lasted at least 5 years or a way to bypass the protection feature.

This was a very good tv when i first bought it in 2020. After 4 years my screen stopped working, the tv won’t turn on. I tried resetting and nothing. For a Samsung tv i would’ve exptected a little longer life usage of the tv.

I loved this tv im just sad a fruend broke it and never paid me back fir a new one….

Three years later there are a couple of black lines that span across the screen, which seems soon for the age of the TV. Other than that the interface seems good, the samsung channel are nice to have. I have enjoyed the TV but the lines this soon is troubling.

After having 2 -50” Samsung tvs go out out, I am returning to Sony. Worth the extra $$.

Great picture, loved watching our sports on this TV. However, after 3 years and 1 month, the TV screen has a line through it and it’s shutting down or not turning on.

TV was OK, that said 3 years later, after the purchase, the screen just went blank. I was hoping that it would last a few more years. There are no Samsung repair centers near me, so I guess it is time to buy another TV...

Just unboxed and mounted this TV today so this review is premature. I've done no adjustments and although the initial impression is good I'll come back to assess more fully. But one thing is certain...the remote control seems to be of very minimal use and the absence of an input button is inexcusable. BUT there's something WORSE...the cover to said remote is almost unworkable. In order to put batteries in one must remove the cover. IT WOULD NOT BUDGE. I had to take a kitchen knife to it and eventually pried the cover off. It wasn't without some damage. RIDICULOUS! This should be fixed immediately. I'm not alone - if one looks online there are utube (sic) videos addressing the problem.

It was fine while it lasted but it died after 2 years. 3 HDMI ports was ok but I would prefer 4. The Tizen OS is awful. It doesn't let you uninstall a few apps that came pre-installed. It doesn't have Rumble. The remote is the absolute worst. None of that mattered too much because I used a Roku Streambar. Luckily I rarely had to touch their remote because the roku remote did everything except switch inputs. However the tv was smart enough to switch inputs on it's own which was great.

It seems a great buy at first and after the first 2 years. The tv would start turning on and off by itself or wouldn’t turn on at all. So Bestbuy what do I do?

I purchased this TV a few days ago and let me tell you the picture quality is amazing and the speakers on this TV do an awesome job projecting sound overall I strongly recommend this tv for anyone who’s in the market!

Faulty screen - buyer beware! This TV worked fine for about 2 years. It was used a few hours every other day. A little more than 2 years after I bought it, I started having problems turning it off. A few months later it started power cycling every few minutes and I wasn't able to turn it off unless I unplugged it. Doing some research online, I found that this was a common problem in this model and that the easiest/cheapest fix is to block some of the pins in the ribbon cable connecting the t-con board to the main board. Most experts online mentioned that there is a faulty diode in the tape connector at the bottom of the screen. The fix works for most people but generally leaves lines of dead pixels on your screen. I have no idea if this works. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot the TV, contacted 2 repair shops and priced out parts. If you're handy this might work for you. I am not handy so I'll be buying a new TV when I can afford it. I'm a longtime Samsung TV customer as are 5he other members of my family. the shortest lived TV out of all in my family lasted 12 years. My TV was the newest and had a very good reviews when I was shopping for a TV. I doubt I'll ever buy a Samsung TV again and am looking at Sony and LG TV's. Don't buy this model!
