The TV was not so refurbished and will turn itself on &off with no one touching it. Of course this happens when it's 5 days past the exchange period. Ah well, you take your chances when you try to save a little. The TV also did not have the remote included.

Bought this product brand new. When I got home this tv had no remote, no power cord, no instruction guide, obviously they gave me an open box product. Sad thing is I picked up this tv after working a 12 hour shift at the VA hospital now I have to waste time to return this product. I

    Good picture but defective overall

I purchased this TV in January 2019 and after some months I was very satisfied with it. But starting in late summer the sound would go out and I'd have to unplug it wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. I eventually called for repair and a repair technician replaced the main board in December 2019. It worked for a couple of months but now I find that the problem has returned and the sound is going out as it did before. Well, actually worse than it did before because now it can go out several times in a day. I'll probably have to pay for service as it's no longer under warranty. I've had a Samsung TV before that was very good and never gave me any trouble so I felt confident in choosing another Samsung. However, now I'm no longer a Samsung fan and will probably have to purchase another TV if the problem is not satisfactorily rectified. I'm certain that the next TV will not be a Samsung.

      Bookwoman1957,

The TU800 Series was launched a month ago, and thus could not be the TV you are reviewing that you purchased in Jan 2019.

Nonetheless, I am sorry for the issues you have with your previous generation TV.

Samsung stands behind the quality and performance of our TVs with a limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty when purchased brand-new from an authorized dealer.

    Wireless Connectivity Issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have this TV for around one week and then I returned it. The big problem is that suddenly TV did not stay connected to wireless internet. It happens several times to me. I think being connected to the internet is the first basic expectation for a "smart TV". I looked at Samsung's website and it seems that there are a lot of people complaining about the same issue! Based on the Samsung page there are several methods like unplugging the TV or changing the router!! I was wondering how my 10 years old laptop does not have an issue with my wireless internet but my 2020 TV does. I think Samsung needs to take responsibility for this and try to find the cause and fix that, instead of suggesting none sense methods that do not work.

    Won’t turn on

Bought this TV 2 weeks ago and twice already it wouldn’t turn on. Had to unplug the power cord from back of TV and wait a little and plug it back in for it to turn on. I got this TV cause my other Samsung TV of 7 years kept turning off and on and would then just turn off and not come back on. I will be looking to return and purchase a different brand.

    TV Sucks

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

TV sucks. It is not a smart TV. I dealt with their online and interactive help. Then they sent out a tech. I told him, the prior TV with ROKU worked. I then proved it to him with my phone. He stated no, it was my internet. THE WAY TO FIX THIS TV IS TO BUY A ROKU HDMI PLUG. THE SMART TV DOES NOT WORK WELL IN LESSER BROADBAND AREAS.

      SUCKS:

Thank you for sharing your user experience with your TU8000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are not completely happy with your new TV. Your feedback is important to us and will be shared with our teams.

You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:

      1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).

      2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)

      3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test

      4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.

You may also want to clear out your TV's temporary storage space by pressing and holding the Power button for 6 seconds until your TV turns off and back on again.

Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

For further assistance or service, please contact us via any of the following options:
