Never buy Samsung Products

The sound would go completely out or not match with the people talking. The screen would go blank. Sometimes the TV would turn off it self. Had Tech out 3 times and replaced parts. Finely returned for new TV. Do not buy.

The NU7 Series is designed with several preset picture modes and custom settings, allowing you to adjust images to your liking.
The Dynamic Mode is the brightest among all presets. Standard Mode is ideal for home and regular viewing.
Movie Mode is the closest setting to calibration the way the director intended as it uses less enhancement and will likely result in the truest picture.

I researched and found others were experiencing this issue so quickly returned the TV. Also, I couldn't hook my Wii up to this TV without purchasing a special adapter (or it would be grainy and without color). Total bomb, which surprised me for a Samsung.

I tried to make it more brighter but that didn’t help. I played PS4 and all it did was lag, I did however like the navigating through the apps that’s about it. Don’t let Best Buy fool you, it was the brightest tv along side others. Not the case when you take it home.

I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the image quality of your NU7100 TV.
Please know that our typical store mode is showing the “dynamic” picture mode which is very bright. We recommend Standard mode at home environment for the everyday viewing experience.
In addition to the display screen, the quality of the image on your screen also depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4k Content will provide the best picture quality.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that would automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.

Not worth the money

I - received it today - it had no power cord, remote control, sticker remains on the screen and a broken outer case. Very disappointed that Best Buy would ship this out to a customer.

Samsung has decided to no longer allow the use of wireless headphones with an optical connection. This is with ALL Samsung TV’s since 2016. According to Samsung Tech Support. So disappointed!!!!

The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out. It is also designed with lots of custom settings, allowing users to adjust images to their liking.
In addition to the display screen, the quality of the image on your screen also depends on the source and the connection.

Gaming Beast (Once Calibrated)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent about two weeks none stop researching 4k tvs in the $300-400 price range for my first 4k TV. I re-searched mainly Samsung, Vizio, and LG because those are brands I trust. I personally don’t care about in TV apps because my xbox runs all the apps and games I could ever want with a direct ethernet connection. I got tired of reading through tons of reviews online from people who complained that their New TVs didn’t run their apps well. Go get a gaming console or roku and hook that up direct to your router people!!! After Christmas I ended up getting a bunch of duplicate games and a new controller. Best Buy let me use the unopened items as store credit and I was able to get an extra roughly $200 store credit and ended up jumping up to the 7 series from the 6900 model. Out of the box this TV had me super worried. My biggest concern about upgrading to 4k was how well the upscaling on these mid grade 4k TVs preformed and how it made my 1080p xbox one games look. Also how the motion looked. This TV like many is actually 60HZ true refresh rate I believe. I also was concerned about the HDR and color being a gimmick. The first thing you need to do is hook up your gaming colsole with a 4k able fast HDMI cable. That is the only way the “gaming mode” will be able to be turned on!!! The gaming mode fixes this awful muddy, washy, ghosting affect on motion that looks awful for gaming. After doing that, the TV came alive! This thing actually makes my 1080p content look like 4k (technically it is because it’s up-scaled) For best (cleanest) picture setting I suggest these settings: Picture size 16:9 standard (fit to screen on!) Backlight: 48 Brightness: -5 Contrast: 50 Sharpness: 0 Color: 25-30 tint:0 Contrast Enhancer: Off Color Tone: warm 1 Gama: 0 Ambient light detection: Off Also under “External Device Manager” turn on Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) Game mode: On HDMI UHD Color: select HMDI Port with gaming device. HDMI Black Level: Normal

Seems to be a common theme for these tv's.

Ended up with a 50" qled which is really nice but wish this 7100 was properly quality checked so I could've just kept it and been $250 richer.

Poor quality
