A: M means 2017 model, N means 2018. So the question is does the extra money for the N pay off? I cant answer that, the specs are too tight, so it comes down to whether you believe Samsung makes annual tweaks on processing etc or not. If money is no object, I'd go with the 2018 model.

A: The front legs are just short of 37.5" wide, with the back legs slightly tapered in. A stand or platform should be no narrower than 38" and preferably a bit wider in case something bumps the TV. My stand is narrower, and I used two extension pieces each about 16" wide to provide support, which works great. I am hunting for just the right stand, but still considering wall mounting.
