Not a great TV

I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the image quality.
Have you tried the “dynamic” picture mode? It highlights the brightness, and may better suit your viewing environment.
In addition to the display screen, the quality of the image on your screen also depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4k Content will provide the best picture quality.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that would automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.

To determine whether the issue is caused by the TV or the connected device (DVD Player, Cable Box, Game Console, etc...), perform the following:
Turn the TV on, then press the Home (or Menu) button on the Samsung remote.
If the entire Home (or Menu) screen can be seen, there is a problem with the connected device (DVD Player, Cable Box, Game Console, etc.) Contact the manufacturer of the connected device to resolve the issue.
If the entire Home (or Menu) screen cannot be seen, there is a problem with the TV.
Please contact us To determine whether the issue is caused by the TV or the connected device (DVD Player, Cable Box, Game Console, etc...), perform the following:
Turn the TV on, then press the Home (or Menu) button on the Samsung remote.

Great TV for the price

I didn't want to pay 200$ more so it came down to this 50' UHD & the 49' Premium UHD... The only differences I could find for the extra $$$ was 1 more HDMI port, Bixby voice assistant built in & works with Smart Things, and its HDR Compatible not HDR Plus(Which means both are 8 bit processors but the Premium version can view at 10 bits). I went with the regular UHD and am very happy I did... Great picture, very responsive, speakers sound good, and WiFi connection is excellent even though it's not 5G compatible. I love Samsung's Smart platform also & this TV was compatible with the Smart Things app on my S9. Set up was easy and Prime Video, Netflix, DirectTV Now & every app I tried worked great without lag. I am coming from a 5 year old 1080p Vizio though mind you so everything is light years ahead on this TV... The price dropped to 399.99$ the next day for a doorbuster deal and I was able to take my receipt in and get 53$ back. So for the price I highly recommend this TV.

Wonderful low to mid range 50 inch 4k TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't want to break the bank with any purchase, but with all of the good TV deals at BestBuy during this holiday season, I didn't really see the need to do so anyways. I'm coming from a 46 inch 120hz Insignia 1080p LCD TV, and while I do have a few other newer TV's (60 inch TCL 4k, 43 inch 4k LG), I'd have to say that I'm still fairly impressed by this screen. The interface is super easy to use, and is very responsive. My girlfriend has a 2 or 3 year old Samsung and you can tell the interface/speed is a bit dated compared to this. After fiddling with the settings a bit, I have now come to realize that I made a good choice for my bedroom. The 46inch I had before isn't that much smaller, but the size change is definitely noticeable. Not to mention the very tiny bezels on the Samsung make this T.V automatically better looking. Netflix, Prime Video, and even their free TV stream channel lineup works great off of Wi-FI. I guess the only thing I'd like to see on this thing is the ability to recieve 5 ghz frequency. If you can hook up to the ethernet instead of using Wi-Fi, do it. MUCH better. All in all, I feel this was a good choice. Gaming is fantastic and VERY responsive once in game mode. Bought an LG soundbar to go with this and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Samsung!

Not a huge fan of the smart tv/tizen experience, but I also use a chromecast so I'm rarely interacting with the TV directly. There are a few settings you'll need to tweak as the out-of-box experience is a bit off. But there are guides on youtube that can assist. Only complaint is the color settings occasionally reset if it's been unplugged for a couple of hours.
