Great Picture but lacks in the smart department
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No Bluetooth but has decent speakers. Picture is great but seems to lag a bit leaving shadowing sometimes. The remote is small and not illuminated like my last one was. Its home feature is a bit sad and lacking in apps. I am going to have to buy a Firestick o get access to the apps I want. The speakers are decent enough for a bedroom TV but if you are going for the boom in the living room you are gonna need a sound bar with optical connection. There are two mini plugs that will allow you to hook up a composite connection if that is what you are looking for. Gaming is clear and seems ok for with not much lag if in game mode.

Nice TV picture but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice TV but when I use it to watch streamed shows from my computer the picture is lacking. The colors are off and just plain unimpressive. If this model offers picture in picture or side by side viewing I have yet to find it. This is a big drawback for me personally as I like to watch football and nascar races and they are on at the same time. It seem like a lot of options have been taken away with this model. When using it to watch TV from my roof antenna It has a very nice picture and I have it hooked up to a sound bar so though the sound is good it seems to be more limited on this television that the Samsung it replaced. I don't know, call me crazy but I expected better out of this television, maybe I was overly optimistic. I would have to say it is good for an entry level but I agree with another reviewer who said if you can spend more then you surely be happier. I am weighing my options right now on actually taking this one back to upgrade.

So far I am happy!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NICE TV...Had Geek Squad deliver and set up...They got the apps working with my WIFI also! Am in a wheelchair and having it delivered and set up was a bargain for me.....This is my 2ND Samsung LED TV, the first one is still working fine at 12 years old!! THAT is WHY I purchased another Samsung, am happy with their reliability....My ONLY complaint is with the side viewing, it is as bad if not worse than my 12 year old Samsung...Front viewing is awesome of course...Took a little time for me to get the color adjusted the way i like it, but after doing so, the picture looks GREAT! At least to me.....

Great Buy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I love the tv. The picture is very good and the sound too. 4k is great on free video from You Tube. It is best to sit facing the tv. When you view to the side it is not as sharp a picture. All in all a great buy at a great price.

4 Year TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv worked perfectly for 4 years. Backlight is currently going out. It's fixable, I hear it's a pain though. It was a great tv but 4 years is not long at all. It's to be expected, all appliances now are designed for the landfill. Usually happens directly after the warranty expires.

Good TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The store only had a couple left since the new models were coming in. I am not a gamer, nor do I stream video from the multiple providers. I wanted a good quality picture from my provider without all the bells and whistles that the newer models will be offering. This TV has a lot of things that I will not use, but the one thing is does have is a great picture...so far. It replaced a 47" LG, which served it's purpose until all of the bright white spots started appearing on the screen. The one thing I did learn from the LG was to pay for an extended warranty plan.

Meh - Not Impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm sorry - with ALL the Hype about Samsung TV's being the "Best of the Best" & yes I know - this is Samsung's bottom end offering - but - still - this TV's performance should be WAY higher then it is. My biggest setback occurred during the setup process - this TV apparently does not support AC Wireless - wait - what ? - my three year old Insigna 43" 4K supports 5ghz - this brand new supposedly bleeding edge TV only support 2ghz ? - that's weird - then there's the whole picture quality. Dead center watching from three different sources - there's this weird pixel bleed that occurs off center of the picture - on Streaming from Amazon / Watching a sports program from a cable box (in my case Spectrum Cable) & even a pre-recorded program off the DVR - the primary dead center event is fine - but 4 to 5" away from the primary camera shot - the picture appears to just bleed colours - case in point - I was watching the live broadcast of the Tour de France - there was a overhead shot of the road which was out of focus - the main group of riders was barely "ok" - but all the leaves in the trees - just bled into what looked like one giant green towel - really not impressed - I've been playing with the settings - two settings - Standard and Natural have completely failed miserably as far as overall picture quality goes - the bleeding problem appeared in all three sources - so either the TV is junk - or - the sources - I can see one source being off - but three ? The three year old Insigna - ya - it has a "ok" picture - which isn't particularly crisp or "wow" - but - it was half the price of the Samsung & that was three full years ago. For the $500 price point - I would have expected this Samsung to at least "pop" in some way to justify it's price point - LG / Vizio / Toshiba / Hitachi - all play in the $500 price point - but - Samsung is supposed to be the "Best-of-the-Best" - really hesitant to drop another $300 just to up to the QLED series & drop screen size - yes - I know there would be next to zero difference between a 50" tv & a 49" tv - it's the principle of the matter - spending that additional $300 - just bite's & my wife & I are not hard core 24x7x365 tv watchers - but it would be nice to have a tv that's newer & at least "pop's" in colour & detail - this Samsung fails on both counts - 99.9% sure it's going back - just not impressed ...

Can’t go wrong with Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 50” set is very nice and sleek. I wanted to upgrade my bedroom TV which was a 46”inch Samsung LCD from 2010, so it was time even though it was still going strong. I have a 65” Samsung QLED as my main and I’ve always bought Samsung sets and nothing else. I didn’t want to break the bank for a bedroom set and got a great deal on this for $400. Couldn’t pass it up. Picture quality is great, obviously not QLED level but still it’s very good and clear. I think it’s a perfect mid range 4K bedroom set television. For under $500 bucks I say it’s well worth it!

Love This 4k
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shocked after settting this TV up How nice the picture is. I have a Sony Receiver that I recently found out does 4K upscaling and I'm impressed with the picture. I also have a 46 inch which the 50 is replaced and that still has a great picture and I have a 40 inch in my Bedroom . This is a great TV for the price

Doesnt hold up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv back in 2018 for my parents, my mother has used it almost daily since then. Here in 2025 it has started to have rotating dead zones that go black and flash in and out. They have a 18 year old tv in their bedroom, and a 10-12 year old LG flat screen in the guest room (non smart) that still work flawlessly. They dont make them like they used to.
