Decent tv, but overpriced

You're not going to get bright HDR highlights as it simply can't get bright enough. It also does not remove judder. I wasn't okay with this and ended up going with a Vizio.

TV looked amazing, until we noticed clouding on sc

But as we changed the channel we noticed a huge white cloudy spot on the screen. It was only noticable when the screen is darker. It takes up about 30 percent of the screen as well. Returning this an hoping a new one wont be the same because this TV is so nice.

Second Samsung that completely dies.

Constantly restarting itself

The image is very good, but the tv it restarts itself every 15-20minutes. Tried different solutions posted on the net but none worked. Would I recommend this tv, probably yes if you get a good one. Unfortunately, I seem to have been unlucky.

Good picture, TERRIBLE motion handing

Calibrated the TV right away using several respected sources. No matter what I did I couldn't get rid of the blur/soap opera effect. I'm very tech savvy so this was not user error, just bad motion handling. I tried to save some money with a "budget" TV. If you must go with a "budget" TV, go with the TCL 5 series. If you watch a lot of sports and movies this TV will not meet your expectations. Returned and spent the extra money on the NU8000. Happier than a clam with the NU8000, motion blur issues gone. Wouldn't recommend based on other competitors TV's in the same price point.

What happened to Samsung?

I usually watch over 5hrs of daily news, 3-4 of tv shows and about 2 hrs of music on my days off... Since I got this tv none of that has happened. I don’t feel comfortable with the product. For every channel I switch to I have to change the color settings. Still the colors are horrible. I have a preferred corner where I sit with my cold beer to watch the news... well, can’t. The tv gets blurry 5” from the center. So mad about this. The guy told me to upguto the NU7100 for best quality... right.

Narrow viewing angle, Jittery sports motion

The TV's Motion Rate 120 should deliver smooth video quality on fast-moving content, but viewing can be fine-tuned using Auto Motion Plus adjustments in the menu. Go to: Home – Settings – Picture – Expert Settings – Auto Motion Plus Settings – Change to “Custom” and adjust to your liking.

Poor quality

Poor picture quality and horrible distortion from the side angle. I bought this to replace an eight year old 40” samgsung. What a mistake. That old tv had a much better picture. I am returning this tv tomorrow.

Only 1 HDMI works.

I connected my Roku box to HDMI 2 and that one worked. I connected my Blu ray player to HDMI 3, but didn't check to see if it worked. Unfortunately I waited to long. When I found that HDMI 3 also didn't work, the return window was shut and I"m stuck with TV with only one working HDMI port. Disappointing to say the least.

Sound goes in and out

I did a lot of research and although my last Samsung went out on me after a few years I was told by everyone that Samsung is the best. I was hesitant to buy another Samsung and was looking at other brands. I went in store and inquired about several models including this one. The sales person recommended this one. It was fine until about a week ago. Now the sound constantly goes in and out. It is so irritating. A tv that is few mos old should not be doing that. Now I have to go through the hassle of either returning or having to deal with their service center. I regret listening to others and should have gone with my gut feeling. I went online and it seems this a common with Samsung.

Had for 3 1/2yrs & now it won’t turn on

I went online & saw that apparently this was a thing for this specific TV. And that it’ll probably get bigger. Well, it did. Half my screen went dark. It took about 6 months for that to happen. Today, I tried to turn on my TV & now it won’t turn on. At all. So, I had to buy a new TV. Thankfully, I bought the 5yr extended warranty with Best Buy so I’m going to have them come out to see if it can be fixed. If it can, it’ll go in another room. If it can’t, it’ll be junked by them & I’ll get a store credit.

According to the tech this particular TV is known for that. I expected a little more from a TV than that short life span.

No 'one' remote

Total Crap!
