I bought this for my bedroom, it was an ‘open box’ and I bought it for $320 with tax from my local BestBuy Outlet, but it was really just a return.Excellent value for the price! Picture is good but can occasionally seem a little ‘fast’ or ‘jumpy’ at times when watching tv. Picture is bright and very clear. Mounts well on the wall but I had to modify the sleeve adapters that they give you to put into the vesa mounting holes so the bolts from your wall mount don’t stick out too far, and have an undesirable tilt of the tv off, and cause a wobble (the top holes are shallower than the bottom, but all of the sleeve adapters are the same depth, so I had to cut down two of the plastic sleeve adapters that were provided- no big deal if you have a hand saw, and if you’re handy enough to mount your TV on the wall you can figure this out) . SmartTV features are very easy to use and have good content and quality- provided that you have a 4K compatible AC router or are using a hardwired Ethernet connection for your internet. Not sure if I would have bought this television at full price $450/$500, but anything at or below $400 I would definitely recommend this Television.

Tv is the perfect size for my bedroom, nice color, easy set up, very light and beautiful finish .

After doing research on various TV's this one was the one I wanted Slim in size, the picture is crisp and clear. The sound is optimal. Did not disappoint.

Choices are fewer in the 49"-50" TV category, but for me I went straight for the Samsung. Recently separated and in a smaller home, I needed a "big" TV for my new living room. (My 32" Samsung wasn't quite big enough so it's in the bedroom.) Love the matte black frame on this model, and the ease of setting it up. Great color and sound.

While we all can't afford OLEDs, I wanted a display to hold me over for a years while they become more competitively priced with kinks like burn-in reduced. So in the meantime, this 50" NU7100 is doing great. My criteria, like many of you, are: minimal if not any backlight bleed, minimal input lag, and build quality. For items like color and clarity, I look to user settings since this is more preference. Out of the box, setup was a breeze and I made visual adjustments from the natural setting as I think oversaturation and highest contrast settings are not lifelike. I did read reviews that this display had limited calibration and the viewing angles washed out colors, but I found it quite eye pleasing after tweaking settings slightly and viewing angles weren't as harsh (both in store display and my setup at home). I've compared this series (NU7100) against other brands on rtings.com and it fits the bill for my needs (console gaming and movies). I've owned Sony, LG, Samsung, and other major branded displays so for me there's no brand loyalty. For the price at $450, I'm quite satisfied. I considered the LG8000 series and Vizio P series, in the end I didn't need the extra bells and whistles of local dimming, fancy remotes and apps. I did pair this with the Bose Solo 5 sound bar and it's just about perfect for our environment (duplex living).

The Samsung 50 inch TV is wonderful. The picture clarity is great. The color is really bold. The built in speaker sounds really good. The TV is not heavy therefore it can be easily moved. It is perfect for any room whether it be the livingroom, den or bedroom. I only have this TV for 3 weeks and I love it.

I purchased this television for Christmas for my 21 year old son who primarily uses the TV for gaming and streaming. The color, sound and overall quality are all excellent. He was also very impressed that he could operate the TV from an app on his phone. The only glitch that he’s experienced is that at times the TV doesn’t recognize his phone app and makes him reconnect to the WiFi. Annoying but not a deal breaker.

Bought this tv to replace a Samsung purchased 3 years ago. I have owned 5 Samsung's and all have been great and lasted for many years except for the last one that only lasted 3 years. It was a Samsung SUHD TV that was quite expensive.The color and brightness deteriorated on it. This one has a great picture, great price and is very easy to setup. Hope it lasts longer than the previous one I purchased.

We bought this TV to replace one that was 10 years old. At first I didn't like the picture because it was so real life that it felt odd to watch. I felt like the people on the screen were in my living room. I got used to it after a while. Technology has come a long way in 10 years and I am old...haha! I like that it has different brightness and picture settings and it auto adjusts to the lighting in the room. It's very easy to navigate through the menus. Overall it was a good TV for the money.

I purchased this TV because it is a smart TV and it would make it easy to use the apps and the internet on it. What I did not understand was that this TV is not Bluetooth ready. I do 90 percent of my TV viewing using a headset so that I can hear the programs without having to turn it up, and bothering others in the house. After discovering that my old wireless hookup would not work on this TV I returned to Best Buy and they advised me what to purchase to be able to listen to the TV. I purchased a MEE audio,a universal dual-headphone bluetooth audio transmitter for TV plus wireless bluetooth headphone. I was then told where to hook up the transmitter on my TV and how to then use my remote to change from TV speakers to Audio Out/Optical. I did this and I still cannot receive the audio on the Smart channels, just the regular channels are available. I am still working on it and hope to eventually be able to get it to work like I want it to.

The picture is really clean and crisp.It is quite realistic. Our old Panasonic Plasma was better at side angle viewing. The remote could be more user friendly; is is cluttered and not well marked. The control panel in the back is crowded, hard to read labels, and a bit difficult to insert adjacent plugs. I do appreciate the labels.

We purchased this TV for our daughter's new apartment. Set up was quick and easy. The TV has all the apps our daughter currently uses - Netflix, Hulu, I Heart Radio, Pandora and Spotify. The picture is fantastic! We've purchased several Samsung TVs over the years and have never been dissatisfied, and this TV is no exception. But as we figured, as with all of these thinner TVs, the speakers just don't give decent sound. Do yourself a favor before you leave the store and purchase a soundbar (at a minimum). That's the only reason I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Great picture, easy to use interface and it pairs well with multiple devices. Seems like the quality you expect from Samsung at a friendly price point. Great Tv for movies, streaming and gaming.

I bought this tv for console gaming. This tv has good response and input lag time (rtings.com). It is not a 120Hz refresh rate though. I don't see console gaming getting to 120Hz at time soon so. I got this tv for $400 (after taxes and discounts). I spent 11 hours playing game after setting this up. I'm glad 4K tvs are getting cheaper. I'll sell my PS4 slim when they release the PS4 PRO SLIM. 1440p-1880p gaming will look even better on a 4K tv comparing to 1080p.

For a variety of reasons, I hadn't yet updated to a flatscreen like this so there's a lot of info to sift through before buying. All reviews that I've seen have been very positive and I've had good experience with Samsung cellphones and tablets so the brand itself seemed like a safe bet. The Best Buy staff was great about offering some guidance as to which Samsung to buy and this one has really turned out to be a great purchase for my new house. Easy to set up, beautiful picture. Not sure what else I can say other than this is a great TV for a great price so it definitely gets a 5 Star from me.

Great picture and built in smart tv functionality. Able to connect to Plex and Netflix seemlessly without an additional device. Occasionally buggy attempting to connect to wifi at startup. Sometimes it does not detect network, but turning off/on a couple times resolves.

We have had this tv for over 4 years. It has been a great tv until the last month. It started to get dark on the left side and has now advanced to half the screen. We are very disappointed that this tv didn’t last longer.

This was an awesome purchase! The quality of picture and Smart TV options are a sure winner! Also purchased the sound bar recommend and it’s definitely a cinematic experience! When watching true 4K movies or programming, the visuals are absolutely stunning! I’m so happy I made the decision to buy this model! Oh! I also had the Geek Squad deliver, install and set up everything. They were prompt, professional and explained everything before they left! They even removed all the boxing and cardboard etc... wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service to anyone! Well worth the service charges! Thanks Best Buy for a error free and smooth experience! I’m always a fan of Samsung so of course when it came time to upgrade my older tv I stuck with them. I got this tv on sale of course during the holiday season and I have been super happy with my purchase since. The picture is great, I love that it recognized my tv provider and connected me to the services without having to plug in any chords. I love that I don’t have to stick to the basic remote to turn on my tv, (my phone and my Apple TV remote does that for me) and I love how easy it is to find things and surf the net on this. Plus the size is great. I can see with or without my glasses pretty clear. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

It has a great picture and is easy to use. The color is very vivid. We were supposed to get free Hulu with it for a month but we have never received the instructions on how to do it.
