Great picture, weak apps

I previously had a Roku television which I enjoyed but the screen burnt out after 2 years. I like the format and ability to move between channels and apps better than the Roku. However, the Samsung does not have near the equivalent of available apps. I have young kids and there is not many choices for them. Disney was recently added but no PBS or Nickelodeon.
