The last samsung I’ll buy

Samsung claims its VESA compatible but no screws from multiple wall mounta are compatible. Im debating if its worth the trouble to return. I won’t be buying again.

Please know that we do not include wall mount screws because not every wall will require the same type of screw. Each customer’s mounting situation can be very different, requiring specific screws to ensure the best, most secure fit. A generic screw type included in the box might be inappropriate for a customer’s wall; the result could be the customer inadvertently mounting his TV insecurely.
For the TU690T, you will need 4 x M8 screws, 20-22mm length, and 1.25mm pitch. Make sure to add the wall mount bracket thickness to the thread depth for minimum screw length.
If you cannot find the fitting screws, you could use washers (supplied with the wall mount) to adjust the length.

Not worth it

I bought this TV as an open box special, it was sealed with inspected by best Best Buy quality ensured. Well, the TV button panel is missing and the power cord was missing. So much for inspection! Lucky we had a power cord from an old TV, let us hope we don't lose the remote. Otherwise, we can't use the TV

We appreciate your feedback on the TU690T image quality. When you are watching older TV shows or shows with a slower motion image than gaming, I recommend turning off the Picture Clarity.
To do so, go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings.
- Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off
- Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
- Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.
You can also adjust the picture mode based on what you are watching. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage.

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with the speed of your TV. To ensure performance is fully optimized, please make sure your TV is running the latest firmware. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. You can easily update from there if necessary.
Next, I recommend utilizing the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.

Terrible Shipping Job

It was shipped in a box wrapped in thin plastic. No styrofoam, no bubble wrap. Needless to say the TV arrived all cracked and busted up. So i cannot review the TV itself but Best Buy was good about taking it back with no hassle and refunding money.

Nonexistent customer service

I refuse delivery. She didn’t take it back because she didn’t have an order to take it back. I did all the legwork for the incompetence of the Park Meadows, Best Buy. It took me a long time and many many phone calls and emails to get a refund. It was ridiculous. The manager of Park Meadows should be fired.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your TU690T TV’s image quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve picture clarity:
1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receivers, IPTV, and set-top boxes, to UHD or HD.
4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings
5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.

Tried all the usual methods to fix, but none worked. The exchange process at Best Buy was extremely easy. Hopefully the replacement will last as long as our other Samsung TVs…
