Some apps (Netflix, Disney, etc) you have to turn the volume way up but I have found this to be the case with other TVs as well.

It likes to start playing whatever Live TV when you turn the tv on. I also did not like the TV automatically turning on my Xbox. I find it annoying SO if you’re considering buying this I would suggest keeping that in mind. If you don’t mind work arounds you can go into the channel settings and search for new channels. After this don’t open the Live TV/Samsung app and it won’t load any channels - leaving the TV blank when turned on. And the Xbox can be disconnected from turning on automatically when the TV is powered on in the settings.

Thank you for choosing the TU690T TV and for your review. You can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Settings > General > Smart Features.
When you set Autorun Smart Hub to be on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on.
If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app automatically runs when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off.

Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation – laid on its side or tilted – during transit, damage could have been done.
