    Needed "the guy" to come in and help set it up. No written instructions, everything on screen. Many times had to go back and start over. Sound quality almost forces you to buy a sound bar which I think is intentional. My second choice was Vizio which should have been my first.

    TV is awesome, I stream only and the picture is great, I only gave it 4 stars for sound because they haven’t quite figured out how to make a rear facing speaker perfect but Samsung has done a pretty good job

    I love my 50" Samsung smart TV. I purchased it for my home office, and it looks great, has great sound, and the picture quality is excellent. The price of the TV couldn't be beat! Love it!

    Nice price for the brand and size but it’s the lower end quality for a smart TV and an issue with the TV turning back on after shutting it off is aggravating to say the least. Picture quality is so so , nothing to write home about.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU690T TV. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue where your TV turns on repeatedly. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
      2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
      3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
      4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
      5. Disable the Power On with Mobile option. TVs that can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

    Our old tv was the old tube type. This new one is fantastic. We have needed to upgrade for quite a while and when we looked at the wall we decided to put it up instead of down.

    This has been the worst tv i have ever had, here lately it doesnt want to come on,it doesnt want to change channels, the remote doesnt work have the time tried new batteries it still doesnt work or you press a channel button and you have to wait for it to change the channel.

    Incredibly poor quality TV. It struggles to keep up with anything more than a volume input from the remote. The screen is okay, not spectacular, and suffers from some of the edge backlight issues that plague Samsung TVs. I'm likely not going to buy another Samsung TV again
