Awesome tv!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a 2012 Samsung LED that just stopped working on 9/11. Went to Best Buy and looked around for hours before it was down to this tv and a Sony 4K. I went with the Sony to try something different. Loved the picture on it and all but 13 days later the network card went out on it. Took it back to Best Buy and decided to go back to Samsung. Glad I did as soon as I got back home and hooked this one up I wish I had gotten it to begin with. The picture this SUHD has is just amazing to me! Such vibrant colors and the level of detail in movies and games is unbelievable. If you're a sports and action movie/ tv show fan you'll definitely love it! Upgraded my Netflix to 4K, although the lineup is short now, there is nothing like watching Breaking Bad in 4K!! lol The sound is fine to me for now, may buy a sound bar or another home theater system for Christmas. The Smart Hub is fast and works well, although I haven't explored the apps outside of Netflix, Pandora, You Tube, Vevo and Crackle. But if you're looking to buy a 4K UHD tv at a decent price, this is a good one to look into at the store. Hope this helps in your search!

Nice TV, but it's not Plasma
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to this pickup, I had a Samsung 51 plasma. It was the best picture and highest rated TV (CNET), at the time of the purchase. Unfortunately, the mother board gave out a week ago. As it turns out, Samsung TV's had issues that were only partially acknowledged by Samsung (google it). It was a great TV while it lasted though. The repair price was too much and I decided to get back into the market. All of the reviews have been positive and very good on the 4HD TV's by Samsung and I assume they have fixed their issues. In the showroom, this TV was better than any other TV and comparable to the SONY 4HD. I stayed with Samsung for smart TV OS and the stand, which better accommodates my center speaker. The first TV I set up, looked as if the screen was shattered. I called Best Buy and they set me up the next day with a replacement. The second TV set up fast. The picture is great, but not has good as the showroom, which is to be expected. One slight issue. I saw this twice, so it's not an anomaly. The stand is not perfectly straight, so your TV will not sit at a perfect 90 degree angle. You will need to loosen some screws, insert some small rubber bumpers or something else to keep it at the right angle. I think Samsung will need to correct this at some point. I can only give this 4 stars because of the fist TV and the issue with the stand. The picture is great, but it's not plasma. This will hold until the price of OLED's come down in the next few years or 4HD is available in more channels.

Awesome colors and sharp detail pictures!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JS7000 Full Array backlight by Samsung and the next full array is the JS9500 with multi-zone. The nano-crystal colors sure does pop-up showing excellent pictures and stunning 4k quality! Watched CGI animation blu-ray upscale to 4k like Madagascar 2, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, etc. or if you're like me and wanted to see 4k quality, so I watch Smurf 2 UHD on Netflix and I was amaze by the colors quality and stunning pictures this SUHD produces. The only con for me is that I wanted to get the 60 inch instead of the 55 and that's $500 more for just 5 inch. For $1299 on this full array backlight with stunning sharp display and colors, looks like a home run for me. Well done Samsung! All I need now is the 8.1 soundbar without the curved. If the pictures doesn't show up correctly, you'll need to calibrate the settings just as I did, after that - bingo, sharp pictures!

Poor picture quality for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV after reading multiple reviews about how great this TV is. I am not sure what those people were looking at but compared to my 5 year old plasma the picture was not very good. You could see the pixels even worse in black colors of screen. The picture also had moments during fast paced action that it would slow down and then speed up quickly to catch up almost made me nauseas. I tried for 3 days to make the picture better but could not. In the end I returned this TV and would not recommend this one.

Best TV for price range and quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV when it was $300 off I got the 55 inch. When I first turned this on and watched some 4k content I was amazed so I did a side by side comparison of my old TV and the new one is 1000 times better. There are plenty of TV picture options and sound options. The TV can connect wirelessly to my Samsung g6 edge so I can enjoy anything I record in 4k. It also can wirelessly connect to recievers. It's got a acr hdmi input so you don't need to plug in everything in your reciever. There's a few times when the TV did not recognize input. But that's because it was in sleep mode lol. Gaming on this TV is a step ahead whether you using gaming pc or console looks better then old gen resolution

Great Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has a beautiful picture. It was very easy to set up. Movies are so clear and crisp. The only con would be there are not enough component plugs, but took care of that with an adapter.

Losing all audio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 3 months I started to have the audio drop out for short times on hdmi input 1. Now I have no audio on hdmi1 or 2 and drop outs on hdmi 4 from the samsung cable box and/or samsung blu-ray. The drop outs and lack of audio are both the internal speakers and ARC (hdmi 3) to the receiver. I do not have a bluetooth speaker setup to test. This is very frustrating to have to put up with.

NO HBO MAX app
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First problem is HBOMAX is not in the list of apps, so no HBOMAX. Also, there are 2 white disk spots that show on the screen. Samsung support knew what it was but kept trying to do updates. The issue is well documented. Won't buy Samsung TV again.

outsourced panel no good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was hoping to get lucky with a good panel after reading all the reviews about different panels from different sources samsung uses...but nope, panel died in a week and had to return. bought a sony x850c (at least sony doesn't do what samsung does) and am happy with it so far.

Great TV, just needs a few tweaks.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I love this TV. Thanks to a previous reviewer for posting the custom settings provided at http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/js7000/settings?uxtv=98ac\ Too bad the TV doesn't come with these settings by default, but it only takes 10 mins or so to set them up. My only con is the picture size options. I would prefer a 'smart zoom' that keeps the proportions correct, instead of the zoom that distorts the picture. You can get a 'smart' zoom via custom sizing, but that just takes more time. I emailed Samsung about it, perhaps they will add this option in their next firmware update.

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, easy set up, incredible picture, easy navigation and a great price. Bought this to replace a 42 LG plasma that died a quiet death. After reading the reviews and doing diligent research we decided on this model and have not been disappointed.

AWSOME TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was thinking about taking this set back after I took it out of the box and turned it on because the picture was terrible. The next day I called samsung and they were able to take over my tv and tune the picture perfectly. Only had it two days thus far but remember if you don't like what you see call and have samsung tune the picture for you it is great now.

Great Picture as Usual, Bad Durability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love samsung TV's, they have the best picture quality in my opinion, minus the dimming on dark scenes. Pros: clear picture, fast start up, responsive interface, good sound quality, Screen Mirroring from mobile phone, can connect keyboard/mouse, fast processing. Fast apps/typing/browsing Cons: Being that i dropped a good amount of money for one of the latest 4k TV's, i expected to be more impressed. One thing that's holding Samsung back is the lack of more smart apps to use on their smart tv's. I feel that most advantages of Smart TV’s are common across the board so I'll elaborate more on the disadvantages. First, I’m disappointed with the sturdiness of this TV. The screen (clear plastic part) pushes back into the frame/tv. I found this out when i was wiping some fingerprints off with an LCD cloth. The corners dive into frame leaving a small hole that could allow dust to to get into the TV and cause trouble down the line. When i was watching TV from an angle, i can see the white light shining through the bezel/frame on TV edge. Part of me is thinking that maybe i have a defective TV or maybe it was damaged during Best Buy’s shipping process –I bought this TV in store. There is no physical damage or mishandling on my part for that matter. Also, another extremely picky thing i have to say is that the TV creaks if i lightly touch the back of it. I’m hoping this is a one off. I actually checked out a similar model in the store and didn’t notice the issues above on the TV there. I don’t want to go through the hassle of an exchange so i'll deal with it and stop crying about these small but value seeking properties. Hopefully GSP covers this. It's just sad that if i compare the durability of this TV to another Samsung LED 1080P I bought about 2 years ago and still use, that TV blows this one out of the water. The screen is built into or encased by the frame. The screen on that TV doesn't press or separate from the frame. The entire frame on that TV is thin and not bulky at the bottom like this 4K. The back is metal, not plastic (UN55ES6100 LED i think). My concern is that when i move and transport this TV, this will cause an issue with the screen, since it already goes into the frame/system. I know I’m being finicky about this but what are reviews for?! If someone can confirm if they have this similarity, I would appreciate it. I also don't like that when i switch to HDMI mode, the picture gets significantly darker. This also happens on other Samsung TV’s when dark scenes occur, the whole picture gets rather dim instead of showing great contrast. And yes, I've tweaked and messed with ALL the settings, both with my external console and the TV. The "dimming/darkness" disadvantage is not caused by my user error it is a feature similar across Samsung branded TV’s i assume. I altered the Advanced Settings and Picture Options in the menu interface and it made no difference (dynamic contrast, black tone, white balance, HDMI black level etc…). I also tried using a $100 Monster HDMI cable and there was no difference. I also tried switching to a different HDMI port on the TV and there is no stopping the dimmer picture when in HDMI mode even when accessing the TV apps while in HDMI mode. But without this issue, the picture quality is great otherwise. Nice colors, they’re bright when in TV mode. I’m disappointed that this TV did not come with a better remote especially since its common to use the onscreen keyboard when using an app like youtube and searching videos etc.. The remote is the exact same one that came with my Smart Samsung Led TV I bought about 2-3 years ago. I would like to have an option to have a mini keyboard like other remotes offer or perhaps a motion featured remote like one samsung actually does offer but not with this TV. I guess I could just connect a keyboard or use my cell to control the TV and stop crying about that as well. This is after all Samsung’s “SHUD lineup, why not offer their customers a higher end remote as well? I have experienced my TV freezing completely and forcing me to power it off with the remote while browsing through the app store or using Youtube. This can be expected on any smart TV I guess. Maybe this can be improved in future updates. **Also to note, at one point my TV would not allow me to access any HDMI port. It would not recognize any HDMI connected device. HDMI devices were only accessible while selecting them under the “Recently Used” interface (pressing source on the remote had no effect). Even after powering off and turning the TV back on, there was no fix. If anyone else has this problem, I fixed it by opening up the “featured/apps” and then entering one of the apps and completely exiting it, then turning the TV off and on again. I assume this was some type of hiccup with the software/OS on the TV. It seemed as though there was an issue with the Apps section interfering with me being able to access HDMI devices. Huh? You can google similar issues on other Samsung tv’s as well. I know my review sounds like the TV is terrible. It is not. The point of a review is to be critical and unbiased. I just expected more from this latest TV and my favorite manufacturer. It’s as though 4k is just a gimmick and Samsung raced to put something out there…

Great picture, easy to assemble and go wi-fi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV week before black friday for 999.99 to replace a Samsung 40", 720, 60 Hz. The old Samsung did a wonderful job and is still great however I wanted to get a true 120 Hz and SUHD TV to get rid of the framing (judder). This TV has fit the bill. I used my same TV stand and assembly was very easy, the stand is kind of cheesy compared to the 2014 models but it does what it is supposed to do and was easy to put together. Connecting with wireless was super easy as long as you know your wi-fi password! Our connection is with Spectrum and it works beautifully in my town. I don't use any of the apps (as of yet) but the internet browser is good. I connected a cheap Logitech ($20) keyboard/mouse combo and now it works very well - when I first connected the infrared "dongle" to the back of the TV into the USB port the mouse & keyboard would not work. I went to the side and both keyboard/mouse work perfectly. I knew the signal was not going through the TV or around it from the keyboard/mouse to the dongle so I got a 3' USB EXTENSION (male to female) and plugged male into TV and then dongle into female and fixed the dongle underneath the TV (so signal could go through) and internet has worked great since then.

Great picture deceptive refresh rate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially purchased this tv and was blown away at the picture quality and overall performance of the tv until I watched sports on the display. It caught me off guard to see my 4k display with jitters and unable to keep up with a football game. I googled the issue and it seems the "120 motion rate" really processes at 60 hz. It seems each company uses fancy terminology. I'm a novice at this but check it out for yourself.
