I purchased the new Android TV that Sony put out this year, BIG MISTAKE! Not only did the TV not have any of the apps it advertised at first the picture was over saturated, depth was horrible.. I could go on but I'll save that for the review on that actual model. As for this model I'm very pleased as far as colors depth, blacks could be better but it's not plasma or full led so can't expect it to be perfect. The motion control is hit an miss depending on what source your using, on my xbox 1 blu-ray looks amazing 3d also no motion lag issues at all. As for my cable there is a slight motion lag on most action shows, I know it has to do with the local cable company hasn't updated their boxes to conform to the refresh speed of these new TVs when that happens in sure that issue will be fixed. Smart Apps works very well smooth,4k in Netflix is great with a little picture adjustment to your liking its nice but not so sure it's much better than a good full 1080p picture. I have more than adequate internet speed so I'm not sure why I'm not seeing a big difference between the 2. I will say on the Sony Android tv the 4k was better looking but would rather have a TV that has all the things it describes when you purchase it, I waited for the firmware update for the sony and only gained Netflix. It's pretty sad that this samsung had the Playstation streaming app before an actual Sony set did. I've always liked Sony but they really dropped the ball on that set, although after having this Samsung set for a couple months now I'm thinking of jumping ship and climbing on board with SAMSUNG. 3d on this set is CRAZY GOOD just recommend you purchase some Duracell batteries for the glasses because the ones provided are junk. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a 4k TV with the option to upgrade in the future it is equipped with the hardware to do so. Very important

I did my homework and shopping for several months prior to purchasing this television. A 55" screen was the absolute maximum size that would fit in my family room wall unit and this television was this highest performer as well as best rated models on the market. 4K picture quality is incredible! The smart functions and streaming capabilities offer excellent performance. I can't speak for sound quality as I do not use the built in speakers but I did try them just to make sure they worked and they sounded a little on the tinny side. Still anyone making the move to this television will probably use it in a theater setting. If you are in the market for 4K I recommend you give this television serious consideration. Properly set up and configured and I will assure you that you will get positive results!

Had a Samsung un55hu8700 and loved it until a lacrosse ball was accidentally launched into it by my teenage son. Picked up the new js9000 series to replace it. Did not think they could improve upon the 8700 but wow. The picture is great, colors brilliant, deep rich blacks and no motion blur. The only issue with this tv is viewing angle but not different than other Samsungs or most LEDs. It is not terrible but definitely wash in picture if you sit off axis by 30 or more degrees. Nothing is perfect but if you are sitting in front of this tv you will believe it is.

I've owned my 9000 for about 3 months now, and am extremely happy with my purchase. I have a very picky eye for TVs and debated for about 6 months before my purchase between this and a Sony model. I chose the Samsung for its upgradability, being that it has the One Connect box that all of your I/O plug into and houses the TV's "brain", which can be replaced when new connections are developed (such as a new form of HDMI or USB, or when a 16 core processor is developed, or some sort of image processing chipset is implemented). Essentially it would be like buying a PC tower and a really nice UHD monitor, vs buying a really nice laptop (a conventional TV in the computer scenario). A few years down the line you could buy a new One Connect box for a couple hundred dollars, instead of replacing the whole TV to keep up with newer technology. As for picture quality, there are few TVs out there that could rival this one. The 9000 is edge lit, which I do notice from time to time and it makes me wish I would have saved up a bit longer to go for the 9500 which is back lit. The back lighting gives it more accurate contrast over the entire screen. You have to have pretty picky eyes to notice the difference, but if you're a true videophile the 9500 is the way to go if you are hard set on Samsung. Both the 9000 and 9500 are HDR compatible TVs using 10-bit LCD panels, which is what you want to shop for to keep up with upcoming UHD standards that will soon be found through Netflix and the upcoming 4K Blurays and 4K bluray players in early 2016. This is another reason I went for Samsung over other brands. They are ahead of their time. To sum up I love my 9000! The only things I regret about it are the occasional light bleeds from the edge of the screen, the gray uniformity is not perfect, and it is a little slow to start up and connect to my wifi and log into my Samsung account. The first time I open the smart hub each day is a little sluggish as it checks for app updates and firmware updates. The only TV's I personally would purchase over this one would be the Samsung 9500, or an LG 4K OLED. As OLED prices come down over the next year and they become HDR compatible, I'll be getting an OLED next fall and move my 9000 into the bedroom. OLED picture quality is unrivaled and displays color and contrast closer to what the human eye can see, better than anything on the market. Samsung's SUHD TV's are near OLED picture quality for about half the cost... If you have the money for OLED, buy it. But for the rest of us Samsung's SUHDs are amazing, amazing televisions. 99% of you won't be disappointed.

After doing a little research on 4K UHD tvs I finally decided on the Samsung UN55JS9000F.... I could not be happier, the image quality is outstanding. The features of the tv are very nicely thought out. The remote takes some getting use to. It's small and uses a pointer system to access menus. After a couple days of use I'm starting to become use to it. I tried out the 3D aspect of the set last evening, watched Avatar 3D BD.... My jaw hit the floor.... The 3D is better than any movie theater I've ever been to..... Absolutely stunning. Super pleased with the tv and feel I definitely made the right choice.

Purchased 11/1 2015 . Died 9/1/2018. 3 Years and thats it? Backlighting went out. It is cheaper to buy a new one that to fix it. I can say for sure I won't be replacing it with another Samcrap

Had to return because you could see the lights behind screen on both sides of picture. Not so sold on the curved. I got a Sony flat and it is incredible!!

first let me say I'm a long time Sony buyer. Higher end models like XBR, W-series and Bravia's. My last Tv was a Sony smart 3-D and for the first time in 15 years i was unhappy with Sony. I was also VERY skeptical of Samsung because they tend to skimp on features. Ok...now for the review. Holy Crud this tv is awesome. most professional reviews said that the curved design didnt provide any benefit for viewing. let me tell you they are wrong. i sit 10 feet away from the tv and when i had my Flat LED i had to rotate it depending on which side of the couch i was sitting on. This curved design is solid no matter where i sit. its def noticeable. also, the Super SUHDTV is amazing. im so impressed with how it pops colors without looking "fake". in fact i had to dial the colors back some and it still the most amazing and realistic picture i've ever seen. as far as features and options, yeah they are all there but with the cleaning up of the remote to make it look simple and slick, you now have to click more buttons to get to and open/activate features and make adjustments. my Sony was usually just 1 or 2 buttons and i'm done. Maybe Samsung will realize convenience is worth more than appearance in the long haul. bottom line, WoW this tv rocks. i'm so impressed, i mean IMPRESSED. Not sure you can get a better TV for $2500

This is an excellent tv choice. I shopped other brands although I have always purchased Samsung. I went from the 55 uhd Samsung to the 60 uhd Samsung and when I saw this tv in the open box section there was no comparison. The other tvs were nice but how ofter does one purchase a tv? This is the best bang for your buck with out spending over $5000. Throw in 0 percent and a 5 year protection plan from Best Buy and you have a great tv with peace of mind for at least 5 years.

I HAVE HAD THIS TV FOR ALMOST A WEEK AND THE PICTURE QUALITY IS AMAZING. THE REMOTE CONTROL FEATURES ARE EASY TO USE. THE COLORS WHILE WATCHING BLU-RAY MOVIES AS WELL AS PLAYING PS4 ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING GOOD HDMI CABLES WITH IT TOO. IF NOT, THE PICTURE WILL STILL LOOK EPIC! I WILL DEFINITELY GET A 65 INCH IN THE FUTURE.

Exceeded expectations even on Charter cable compared to old plasma TV which I thought was great. Required a little color adjusting to suit my preference, but after that haven't touched it.

This TV is everything i could ask for and more. Simple setup and the picture is outstanding. Also purchased the J-7500 soundbar and they provide an incredible movie watching experience. The 4k upscaling is great. This smart tv is absolutly worth the money!!

Outstanding and clear picture. It is hard to watch movies in 1080p once you become used to the 4K picture I definitiely recommend this product.

This tv has one of the best looking picture, that i have seen on a tv in a long time. viewing angles are great.

I just got this Samsung Smart TV about 2 months ago. It is the Samsung 55'' Model# UN55JS9000FXZA. It is 4K, Smart, Curved, and 3D, I would recommend to all my friends and family 100% times. This is "THE BEST" TV in my opinion. It is totally worth the money. I do plan on getting an even bigger Samsung TV in the future. My last TV was smashed by an earthquake in Orange County in March 2014. I love the TV, thank you Samsung for making it.

Bought this tv three weeks ago love it awesome picture.

Great tv, great features, loses the wireless setting many times, but it seems to have stopped doing that. Love it love it, great for medium size room, easy to learn how to use

This samsung JS900 is an amazing TV. It has a 10 bit panel and everything from the curve to the colors just makes the TV that much more interesting to view! I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

The TV is great, unless you want to mount it on a wall. The proprietary cable that comes with it is 6.5 feet long. You must use this cable to connect to the one connect box, no choice and no alternatives. This is way too short if you are mounting it on a wall. Samsung, please make longer cables, this is stupid. We love the tv but you must either attach the one connect box to the back of the tv or be able to reach it within 6.5 feet with room to spare if mounting on a wall. Could not recommend this to a friend because of this.

The Samsung JS9000 is a very nice unit having one drawback. You seldom can access Netflix, it's hit or miss...An issue I hope Samsung addresses, as Netflix now offers 4K content and when working, it looks sensational...That would be my only complaint.
