A wonderful television with overall great picture and sound.

More reflection from windows and lights. Placement is crucial.

Returned Sony 4k to get this been real happy with it

I am not satisfied with particularly this TV, picture is okay as like as other brand ,nothing extraordinary, sound quality is not good,I had to buy curved soundbar .

The quality was good, but for being a 4K TV, I was expecting the picture quality to be better than my Samsung H7150 (1080p). But this the lower end to mid level model of Samsung 4K TVs.

First off, given that this TV is Samsung's lower end model, its pretty amazing! Having 4 hdmi ports is always good! I had initially purchased a Sharp 4k model but quickly returned it and got the Samsung and maaaaaaan was that the better choice! The TV itself looks extremely sharp! The picture is great! There are lots of picture settings so being able to calibrate it yourself is kind of challenging if you're not educated enough with some of the settings itself. I just stick to the basic settings and then googled what the other ones were. The clear frame is pretty nice, its not so overkill like the soap opera effect but just smooth enough to make the movie or game look good. Now for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and 360 users, the games look pretty darn good upscaled! You wont be disappointed in that area. As far as sound goes, I was pretty impressed with it! There are multiple presets for sound I think I'm using the Theater mode which sounds really good, good enough till i get the samsung soundbar - which might I add is also curved and has a fitting underneath the soundbar so you can set it on the actuymount of the tv, pretty great idea! All the added features the tv has are also quite nice, voice control that works seamless! App store is great, the little mouse thing on the controller takes a bit getting used to but you get used to it, or just use the other control too. The controller itself is pretty cool and doesn't feel cheap at all. Overall, I'm EXTREMELY happy with this TV. 100%

The picture quality is terrible on this tv. I rather get the regular square tv instead of trying to be different with this curve nonsense. I will be returning this item.

Due to low vision, we chose a 55" TV. We are extremely happy with the size And also with the color pxls. We are looking forward to more programs broadcast in HD.

Awesome picture but after TV was on for several hours the volume wouldn't go up or down and after turning it off it took a few minutes to cut back on.

Doesn't work out of the box. We are going to get a replacement. Hopefully the review on that will be better

Everything about this T.V. is great. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an upgrade, especially video game players. Great value with some work around. Firstly understand that although there are 4 HDMI ports, there actually is only 1 4K port ( the first one). There is an adapter you can buy to plug into the 4k HDMI port, & upto 3 devices into it. ( my Xbox one & Cable box) which I purchased for $30. Secondly you need to buy 4k HDMI Wires. One from the tv to adapter, and how ever many devices you have to plug into it. Long story short, If you don't have a 4k HDMI wire, you will not get the best possible picture. Each house has different needs in terms of picture/ color adjustments. Easily find professional recommendations for this model online. Do not put the tv in sports mode when playing xbox one, the graphics cant handle it and the picture lags like crazy ( worst experience was with fifa 16.# the gaming is to fast paced and there was a 2-3 second delay in my actions on the controller & what I was seeing on the tv. I set it up to Movie or Standard mode & it worked just fine. Also make sure when you first set up your cable box that you go into the tv settings & set it up to the highest possible resolution because it will default to whatever the cablebox settings are # usually 720p). Overall this is an amazing value tv and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal & an upgrade to the next gen tvs.

Curved looks like a good idea. However, the picture was not competitive with our 4 year old LG. Returned and purchased a 55" UHD HDR LG.

I had bought this as a Christmas gift for my family for a new high quality TV to watch. I have loved Samsung products in the past (I have a Galaxy S6 Edge+ phone and my wife has a Galaxy 6S) and after reading the reviews and seeing the display model in the store, I decided this was the right TV for us. I've had it for over a month now, and I'm still blown away by the picture clarity (especially 4K content) and the ease of using it has been fantastic! I was actually surprised by the sound quality as well as I expected it to be quite low, but it was almost as good as a previous soundbar I have used (which wasn't the most expensive, but good quality). It's not full surround or the best, but for a fairly small living room it works perfectly! The curved screen makes it easier to have a great seat no matter where anyone is sitting, and the abundance of different apps you can use is wonderful (mostly Netflix and VUDU for us!) The extra selling point was the special where this was priced at $999, which as I write this review, I see it's at the same price! You can't find another good 4K TV for this price with the options you get from it. I highly recommend it to anyone!

I replaced my 8 year old 50" Samsung plasma with this television. I did not get a change to see the image on display in the store. I did see similar 4K units. The Television is extremely lite. I did not pay for home install so the delivery guy took it out of the box and placed it on my entertainment center. I took a few minutes to unscrew the base and bolt on the wall mount attachments. Then up and onto the wall mount (10 minutes tops). Connections are both awesome and disappointing (well disappointing for me). Lots of USB and HDMI connections. I can just about plug everything into the television. I have an older receiver that does not have HDMI. There is no RCA out or composite out on this television. To get sound to my receiver I had to buy a digital optical cable ($30). The remote is minimalistic, Samsung is betting you want to do everything on screen, like a computer. Which is ok, but I tend to switch between the Uverse box remote and the Samsung remote. Yes you can control your Uverse DVR through this remote. I thought that was pretty nice. The picture is amazing, really clear and realistic. I deliberately watched older movies and TV shows (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Back To The Future, Top Gun, Some Disney Movies) to check the picture quality. Its very impressive. I do find that on some darker scenes it better to watch with low lighting in the house, this could be how I have the TV mode set up, I have not explored that yet, Glare can also be an issue.

To even get close to the 4K picture you see in the store you need a very fast internet speed connection. Unfortunately I live in an area that does not offer cable internet and receive my signal over the air. Speed is very slow and had problem getting HD even for NETFLIX. When DIRECT TV tech came out to make the 4K connectiuon found the speed was insufficient. Currently Direct TV uses the internet to get their 4K signal to your home. Was told by tech that this is going to change in the near future and DTV is going to transmit through direct satellite signal. Store sales person us the curved screen cuts down on reflection during the day. Have not found this to be the case. Have a tilt adjustable wall bracket and have found no adjustment takes away the daylight glaze any better than a flat TV. That aside the upscaleing HD picture is a step up from a previous Samsumg HD TV.
